"A return to normalcy"

Yeah, the title quote from Warren G. Harding -- quite appropriate to describe Rafer and his game last night. Considering that Harding was the worst U.S. President ever.

Anyway, Friday night's box score for Rafer:

7-14 FG, 3-4 (3 pt FG), 20 points, 8 assists and 2 steals.
A very good game. AND the Rockets win!

Last night's box score for Rafer (against the freakin' Knicks):

5-14 FG, 2-8 (3 pt FG), 14 points, 4 assists and 3 turnovers.
A more typical Rafer game. Fortunately, the opponent was the Knicks and the Rockets won convincingly.

Maybe we can bait Isiah into trading for Rafer??

Oh, nevermind... it's not like the Knicks have any tradeable assets anymore. I certainly don't want Starbury anywhere near Houston. Yao would kill him. Or just beat his ass with his own shoe.

Enough about Rafer. Rockets have won 2 in a row. Going to make it at least 2-3 more in a row. Mediocrity, here we come! (All that aside, the Rockets are going to the playoffs. Just wait and see! February is going to be huge for us.)

Dude, Ronaldo Balkman! David Lee! There's always assets in New York, just waiting to be plucked from the bench! And of course he'll take Rafer! Just sign him to a huge extension first!

As if you didn't hate the Jazz already, you're going to need to root even moreso against them. The 8 spot in the West is going to get UGLY in March and April. The Blazers will come back to earth (right??!!!), and it'll be Warriors vs. Rockets vs. Blazers vs. Jazz for the 7 and 8. One team will probably pull away (maybe you guys if TMac gets his head out of his ass (again), but that 8 spot is going to get chippy.

Oh, the Knicks have assets... but Balkman wouldn't be able to help us much (he and Battier would get in each other's way). We still need a true PG.

When Aaron Brooks starts getting legit PT, we'll start making our Blazer-esque move. Rockets will get 7th seed in West by the time playoffs roll around.
