10 things Rafer sucks less than

I've been informed by many people that maybe - just maybe - I am being too harsh on Rafer Alston. He did after all start a majority of games for a team that won 55 games last year, and he was a big part of the Streak. He also had that memorable game against the Lakers, which just so happened to be the one day ever recorded when I actually encouraged him to shoot the ball.

So, on that note, here is a list of 10 people or things that suck more than Rafer Alston:

1. The English Patient
2. the 1990s version of Jenna Jameson
3. the Utah Jazz
4. J.R. Towles (that bastard owes me $20)
5. Sage Rosenfels in the 4th Q on 10/4/2008
6. Limp Bizkit
7. Pearl Jam's Vs. CD
8. New Coke
9. John Travolta
10. Hurricane Ike

We could add bubonic plague, Linkin Park and McRibs, but why? Rafer isn't that bad. Granted he's not that good either, but given that the Rockets front office is definitely awake and active, cut them a little slack eh? Have you EVER seen a more loaded Rockets team, top to bottom? I'm fairly certain I haven't.

When they think they can get us a better PG, they will. Count on it. And the jury is still out on Brooks, and to some extent, Head, even Francis, I guess.

I know this is your pet peeve, but Alston DOES play good defense, he has a good handle. Adelman may make 2007 Alston the norm, not the exception. He's done it with similar marginal talents.

Here's my question. Why the total lack of interest in Livingston? He might have presented a solution if he can come back from his knee injury.

I agree. Almost completely. Though I am still afraid Rafer is going to revert back to being a f**k-up when things get tense.

And yes, this is the most loaded Rockets roster I have ever seen. We could go 14 deep every night if the league let us.

I think Livingston wanted a chance to compete to be a starter and more money than the Rockets had available. He would have been intriguing, but not worth the risk in a special year such as this.

PJ's "Vs." album... the list of things wrong with it is too long, so how 'bout we just say "everything".

The only other CD from a band I liked that made me more mad at how much it sucked was STP's "Shangri La Di Da"
