Today's Dilemma: Sam Cassell

These kind of situations haunt me.  With Robert Horry now in semi-retirement, Sam Cassell remains the last active link to the Houston Rockets 1994 or 1995 Championship teams.  The question:  How do I support Sam, and yet simultaneously hope he doesn't beat the Rockets tonight?

I'm serious.  I still have a hard time accepting that E.T. is on any team other than the Rockets.  I cried the day they traded Sam and Horry for Chuck.  I think the Rockets have been cursed ever since.

Yes, the Curse of Big Shot Rob and Sam I Am
I just coined that...... don't even think about stealing it from me!

I agree

Dave,
I definitely feel your pain. I’ve been hoping for years that the Rockets would pick Sam or Robert back up. They are Rockets and should end their careers that way. Even if it is just a ceremonial contract. I love those guys and have never rooted against them. I can only hope Sam scores all of the Celtics points and they still lose to us.

We HAD to trade for Barkley though

Trade has to be done every time. Otherwise we lose to the Sonics… OVER AND OVER AGAIN.

I'm sure Sam would understand

about not supporting him – he doesn’t play anymore + he got a ring for free last season. :)

I'm no commie, but the Reds shall be the best again!

McDyess for Rockets

We need a backup center. Is there any chance that we can get McDyess for a reasonable price? Maybe Lutherhead and Francis…
