Blogger MVP/ROY Polls Round 2
The newest Blogger poll for MVP/ROY is up over at Upside and Motor.
Here is my ballot for this week. I would have put DJ Augustin on it at 6 if it went that far.
MVP:
1. LeBron James – For his entire career I’ve said “If he can get his teammates involved he will be unstoppable”. While the assist numbers don’t show it, his passing has been otherworldly this year
2. Dwyane Wade – So much for those injuries
3. Chris Paul – I know the Hornets have been down, but Chris Paul is literally doing everything in his power to change that
4.
5. Chris Bosh – He’s a
6. Dwight Howard – One of my favorite players in the league. If he didn’t completely disappear at times I would have him at 2. And unlike when
7. Paul Pierce – His numbers aren’t burning up the league, but his will to win is.
8. Tony Parker – If he had not only played 7 games he’d be higher on this list.
9. Brandon Roy – Continuing to be underrated, even by his own fans
10. Devin Harris – Come on now, none of us thought this team would ever be over .500 this year
1. Derrick Rose – I could not be more impressed with him. Saw him destroy my Longhorns in the tourney and the ceiling was already high, now it is astronomically high.
2. OJ Mayo – I’ve only seen two games of his, but I was bored with him both times. That doesn’t change how good he is though.
3. Rudy Fernandez – Better than I thought he would be and maybe even better than some Blazers fans thought he would be
4. Michael Beasley – I wish he would take it to the basket more, but his defense seems to improve every day
5. Greg Oden – Starting to come on strong. The Blazers should be barred from the league for being able to stockpile this much young talent

re: Blazers' drafts
This situation where Oden was hurt his entire 1st year & they get another awesome draft pick…..it just keeps reminding me of when David Robinson was hurt all year, so the Spurs were able to pick Duncan.

I must say that for the most part I agree with your ballot...
and thanks for the kind words about Brandon, Rudy and Oden. Brandon is the heart and soul of the Blazers. Rudy is like an M80 firecracker – when his fuse gets lit look out. Oden is going take a lot of time to develop into the center that we are hoping he will be. The sleeper rookie on the Blazers is Nicolas Batum. He is a hundred times better than anyone expected except maybe Kevin Pritchard. I know that you are a fan of LaMarcus and it is good to see that he is back to is normal self.
I am really enjoying what Aaron Brooks has been doing for the Rockets. I fully expect that he will continue to develop into a fine young point guard.
