McGrady to Sit Out During Back-to-Back's
From the Chronicle's Jonathan Feigen: "Rockets guard Tracy McGrady returned to the court Monday after missing Saturday’s game, but said he and the team have agreed he will not play both games when the Rockets play two games in as many nights."
While I think this makes sense in terms of limiting McGrady's minutes and keeping his knee "healthy", I don't like this idea very much. Either we play T-Mac for a while or we don't; I've never seen someone just pick and choose which nights he feels like playing like this. It disrupts chemistry and timing - you have to have separate game plans every night, and not just for the opponent, but for your own team as well. Hopefully this will work, but I don't like the idea at all.

From a normally McGrady Apologist...
I am usually the first to defend the guy, but I just dont get it this season. When he is on the floor, he just looks like he doesnt care what happens. He seems distracted. A lot like the “personal problems off the court” attitude he had a couple of seasons back. He seems distracted.
We will never gel if we dont have the 3 stars playing together for large ammounts of time…Beginning to make me wonder if Ron is even liking being here. Which would suck if we cant extend him because of it.
Tonight we're gonna party like it's 1995!

I think it's stated somewhere in the article...
that once he gets into shape/regains form (or for a Tmac doubter – “feels like it”) he would be playing those back-to-backs. Hopefully by the ones near the end of the season.

maybe it's just me...
But I’m sensing some strange parallels between T-Mac and Manny Ramirez…
both are opting out of games against strong opponents. T-Mac misses the Jazz game, while Ramirez would get “hurt” on days that certain stud pitchers were on the mound.

Does this include the playoffs? ;-)
And I can’t think of a player we could trade him for that would equal getting back someone as solid as Jason Bay though. I love that Canadian
