free throws, ftw
Rockets go 27-28 from the free throw line (damn you, Carl Landry!).
Jazz miss 9 of theirs (19-28). Ballgame.
Oh, and Utah still sucks.
And Tracy? Take your time coming back... Von is doin' just fine in your place.

Go Rockets!

And
11 of 24 from the three point line. Spazz were only 6 of 19. Outscored em by 8 at the free throw line, 15 more points from the Land of 3. You could say that was the difference.
Go Rockets

wow
yo Dreamshake, now is the time yall can forgive Skip for Skipping yall in the autograph line a couple years ago, and stop that stupid-ass immature hating. He outplayed “the 2nd best PG” throughout the entire game, most notably that clutch steal at the end.
He is much more dependable than AB right now, is our most trustworthy ballhandler, has improved his shot selection considerably, and I’M SO THANKFUL that he could give a fuck-less about you lame-ass hometown trolls.
GO ROCKETS! FUCK JAZZ!

yeah, right
When he does it consistently… we’ll change our tune.
In the meantime, he’s still shooting 35% and even worse from behind the line.
and the Lakers loss was his fault.

If he plays like this every night, great! We'll throw a parade for him.

only after we take his keys away
Can’t let Rafer drink and drive at his own party!

haha GOOD ONE LMAO CUZ OF THE DUI RIGHT?!?
wow grow up plz, u have to bring past mistakes up to overshadow his great effort tonight…I mean damn…that wasnt even witty…I guess Kobe sucks now cuz he couldnt bring Lakers back against Orlando a lil while back, right dipshit?
Rafer has been shooting great this past week or 2, he completely outplayed Chauncey just the other day, held Mario Chalmers to 0, and you still hate on him so passionately, presumably because he neglected yall in the autograph line.
I challenge you to come up with one decent reason why you can’t show the man some love as of late…bet you’ll puss out or come up with some cop-out answer, as you are, of course, an immature hater, but I’ll try you anyway.

Rafer
I know it’s popular to hate on Rafer, and believe me I’ve done a lot of that since he’s been here. But you’d be really naive to say he hasn’t had a really good last couple weeks. May I remind you that he was one of only about two or three that played worth a damn against the spazz last year in the playoffs. Without him Utah sweeps us, period ended. Because of Rafer we pushed them to six.
He’s still the best point guard we have, and if he plays like this we’ll be tough to beat.

yes dude
@ HuskersTexansRocketsStros
“Hating” on players is natural when they frustrate, and Skip has had some very frustrating moments over past couple of years. I see your point of view, and right now I feel the same way about T-mac.
However, I know T-mac still has the potential to be a dangerous man to fuck with when he’s healthy, so I accept this setback of his for now. Anyways, point is….good job on telling it how it is, even if you’re not a HUGE rafer fan. (I haven’t been either, but I always had faith)
You came up with an intelligent and legit response, which I highly doubt GRUNGEDAVE has the ability to do.
YOU GOT A LOTTA JOKES TILL SOMEONE CALLS YOU OUT, PUSSY ASS HATER!!! WHY DON’T YA PRAISE YA STAR PLAYERS, BITCH?!?
anyways, sorry for the rant, GO ROCKETS!

oh man...
called me a fucktard and had a pic to diss me…guess thats your full-proof plan…only you didnt consider that i even stated I wasn’t a huge rafer fan (while that guy LOVED britney), but give the man his damn credit…even most “fucktards” would catch on to that…
“fucktard” > Dream Shake rafer haters
why dont yall talk shit about battier tonight? he had a shit game tonight, so that must mean he will never have a good game for the rest of the year..(just like rafer’s missed freethrows…assholes)
by feilongkickedyourass! on Jan 21, 2009 11:25 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
and a damn fine picture, to boot
We don’t complain about Battier because he is usually good. He had a terrible game, but he is typically a great player.
Contrast that with Alston. Alston typically shows remarkably horrible decision-making when it comes to shots. He’ll go for the pull-up jumper when he should just wait for his teammates. He’ll go for the low-percentage floater when he should pass the ball to someone – anyone – else.
He is a career .385 shooter who is shooting .364 right now. He can do other things well – I think he defends well (usually, anyways) and he can pass effectively – but he will fuck up a possession by taking poor shots. He believes himself to be a much better scorer than he really is, and this means that the Rockets suffer when his shooting is off.
If Rafer stops fucking around with his shot selection, everyone here will give him credit. Shooting 35% isn’t too big of a deal if he rarely shoots.
Don’t give him credit for going on a scoring hot streak. He’s getting lucky. It’s great that the Rockets can profit from that while he’s hot, but it also means that Rafer will be taking more boneheaded shots when his streak is over.
So if you want to draw the comparison to Battier, think about that first. Consider that when Battier realized he wasn’t shooting well tonight, he passed away or drove into the lane instead of taking the three. Battier is a smart player. Rafer is not. Battier is good. Rafer deserves the hate.

In the game recap
We did exactly that, talked about Battier’s poor shooting. Don’t expect every single post to call out the guy that actually IS the consummate proffesional or the guy that plays defense every game. That’s just dumb

You should have stopped listening to this feilong guy as soon as he said that Rafer outplayed Deron Williams.
The more you try to erase me, the more that I appear.
by clarkpojo on Jan 21, 2009 11:50 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Did you really just say that Rafer outplayed Deron?
Did you not realize that DWill had better stats on the game all around? 32 and 11 assists?
Yes, Rafer played well, and I’m pretty sure that was well acknowledged. Don’t come here expecting us to say that Rafer has turned a corner, he hasn’t. Don’t come here expecting us to think he will play like this every game, he won’t. Hell, don’t even expect us to say that he can play like this every other game, he can’t.
I want to like Rafer, I really do. I’ve written countless things about it. He just is not a quality every day starter in the league. He’s good enough for the Rockets to get by, clearly. And if the whole team is injury free, we’ve all said there isn’t a non-superstar PG that would fit the team much better.
Buut it’s absolutely ridiculous to act like he’s a great player, or that when he has a good game (of which he’s had a few in a row) that we should forget everything he’s done wrong.
And honestly, the DUI joke was really funny.

Looks like AB has hit the wall again
just like he did at this time last year (Rafer also got hot at this time last year).
Could Morey make another Bobby Jackson type of trade? Last year it involved Bonzi. Maybe this year it involves Artest. I hope not but you never know. Mac/Barry might have to play some point in the playoffs if AB can’t get his shot back.

Im not worried about Brooks - he's streaky, and probably actually needs more minutes, rather than fewer
by Xiane on Jan 21, 2009 11:03 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
if AB is actually GrungeDave, then yes, he definitely hit a wall…that dumbass prolly still thinking hard on what to type me back I owned him so hard LMAO (or eventually gave up and told himself that he doesnt need to prove anything to anybody…typical cop-out mentality)
anyways, Ive loved AB since he was a Duck, and I hope he’s still in H-Town for the playoffs…hes got the playoff experience (though it was quite a rocky one)
everyones got their slumps, at least his FT is greater than 90% !

If your purpose...
Is to come in here and “own” people, go back to ClutchFans. You can own everyone you want there. I’ll even send you a jungle-gym if you leave.

first off, rafer had more points tonight than Tmac has played games this season…
You’d have to be a GIGAdouche to hate on someone during their hot streak…especially ya hometown PG.

It’s my blog, and I’ll bitch about Rafer if I want to. No one said you had to troll here. No one is making you stay. Deal with it.

Now, I don't follow the Rockets, but have to ask..
did Ron Artest cut Von Wafer’s hair?
by UtesFan89 on Jan 22, 2009 7:18 AM CST reply actions 0 recs
its cool now
I dont even mind that yall collectively bash on rafer from time to time….but right after a few great games?! You should support the man who kept pushing our lead and creating plays for us, (and the clutch sneaky steal) ESPECIALLY WHEN HE HELPED US BEAT THE FUCKING JAZZ…i have no doubt that perhaps he’s gonna fuck up in a few games, all I ask for is some acknowledgement of his success, and I see GrungeDave has done that now.
I thought you were gonna give all usual credit (as of late) to Yao/ Wafer, and attempt to ignore Skip’s good shooting. Glad you took the higher road and brought up his “A-game”. lol
