Who do you think should stay: Pops or Dorsey?
The Rockets just cut both Beck and Temple the other day.
We all know Barry isn't going to be around for the season and only because of a big money issue, Cook has a roster spot he doesn't seem to deserve at all.
Now, it looks to me like the last open spot is between Pops Mensah-Bonsu and Joey Dorsey. Now, just by the number of minutes each players has gotten in the preseason, it looks like Pops has the inside track for that last spot. But who knows? Maybe not.
But if you were the one who had to choose which of these 2 guys stays & which one goes, which do you pick?
Do you want someone else who is available other than these 2 guys? If so, vote option #3 and mention that player's name in your post.

I keep hearing Dorsey was already cut…
… but I can’t find any confirmation of this yet.
????
I am assuming this hasn’t happened yet.

Looks like both of them are staying.
Conroy looks to be the one who’s getting cut…

It means a lot of minutes for both Brooks and Lowry at the point.
Taylor and Battier are both listed as being able to play at SG with Lowry picking up some minutes at SG, too… in addition to the backup PG minutes.
Yeah, they could use a third PG. But unfortunately, the roster spot for that is taken by Brian Cook, professional bench warmer…

Everybody has been hating on Cook
a lot, but in my opinion he’s actually been a lot better this preseason.
I think it has to do wtih Adelman’s offense (which we really haven’t been using with Yao). It’s somewhat similar to PJ’s triangle offense (who drafted Cook). So I think if ANYWHERE – Cook should be at least servicable on this team.

Part of the problem is that for one thing, this team could use that 3rd PG…
… more than they can use Cook and for another thing, Cook is very expensive compared to what the team is actually going to get back in performance for the kind of money he’s getting.
