First Month Record Prediction
What's your prediction for through the end of November? This is all before TMac's return. This is essentially last years playoff team with out Artest. Ariza is not Artest and so I expect some growing pains but still think the tenacious D that they play will win a lot of games.
I'm kinda thinkin about maybe sorta planning to get maybe a little excited.
I got 10W 6L (11-6). Actual 3-1

Seen that too
M 80- So what does Portland give up? Big D- Nothing, Pritchard is such a genius that teams just give him players for free. (Comments from Blog a Bull on July 9, 2009)

I think it looks more like 9W and 8L, you left out the Utah game. This is being optimistic.

At a horrible lottery team (minn) is much easier
than hosting a contender. Both Portland games are unlikely, and even hosting dallas may not turn out well. At Minn rockets are clear cut favorites. SA may not be that strong. Odds of winning hosting them are similiar to odds hosting portland. (40% or so) Scola needs to shine, brooks needs to establish himself as a star by continuing is his playoff level play.

I know that at Minnesota is a much easier game than hosting contenders
but flying to Minn to play a back to back is a tough game and the Rockets are going to lose games this year that we expect to win, but we will also win games that we expect to lose, like ever year.
As for San Antonio, I read in ESPN the Mag that Popovich is planning on sitting Duncan and Ginobili on most, if not all, back-to-backs. I dont know if our game with them is a back-to-back for them but its something to watch out for through the season.

Some haters here!
however, I agree to the 9-8 – assuming they start gelling. What was that lineup Sleepy put in last night. Overpowered and undersized big time! GROSS!

The whole team is undersized
Every game we play this season we will be undersized. Unless we play a lineup of Andersen, Scola, Landry, Ariza, and Budinger (or something like that) we will be undersized, but with that lineup we would get run on like crazy. Get used to alot of blocked shots against and routinely losing the rebounding battle.

I hope all of you are right,
but looking at that schedule, I’m predicting 7-10. This is how I have it with us beating the teams that we should beat and losing to the teams that should give us some trouble.

This seems more accurate
But im hoping we upset a couple teams and start having good team chemistry. Like Golden State did a couple years ago when the big teams could not stop them because they were so fast and ran too much. Remeber they knock the #1 seed Mavs out of the first round?
I hope the Rockets become that team, where the opposing team needs to adjust to OUR style.

RE: Utah
A lot of people have some editing to do.

I know I do
And its a good thing. I still think my record will hold, maybe 10-7 now. The other teams will figure out the Rockets new game and they will have nights where they cant buy a basket, even against sorry teams we “should” beat.
Its so fun to watch the game. Does anyone think they can keep running like that for the while season? Im worried about Scola and Battier’s legs.

The team has to do what it has to do to win…
… can’t worry about injuries. Worrying won’t keep them from happening anyways.
The coaches have to pull those guys off the floor whenever they aren’t needed in order to save their legs. But they can’t let fear cause the team victories by being too careful.
They need to let guys like Dorsey and Cook run up and down the floor more during garbage time…
I had to stop arguing with drunks, Steeler fans, and all other fools.
It was making my brick wall jealous...

Missed a couple but got a couple others back. Looking like 9-8. Not a bad start.
