Rudy Gay Doesnt Sign Extension with Grizzlies

http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=AtK5o6rpHsnJ_zrgz8SabWm8vLYF?slug=aw-gaygrizzlies110209&prov=yhoo&type=lgns

Who else thinks this is big news?!? I know we traded him for Shane, but now we can have both of em! I am a big fan of his game, he's a great shooter and slasher who can jump through the roof. He plays solid defense with upside to become a great defender, especially with guys like Shane and Trevor around sharing insights. I think he would be a great investment for now and the future. what do you guys think?

Meh

Rudy, Battier, and Ariza would be a bit of overkill if you ask me. Ronnie Brewer hasn’t got an extension either. We could use a SG, and then Battier could be our 6th man.

Our main priority this offseason should be re-signing Scola.

Does Scola have his Bird Rights yet?

the combo of ariza and gay will be deadly

both defensively and offensively. cmon, shane isnt getting any younger, this is about the future but at the same time having a pretty good team now.

Its so damn hot... milk was a bad choice

Two things:

1) AFAIK, this makes Gay an RFA at the end of the season.
2) Gay sucks and I would cry if the Rockets signed him.

If Morey wants to sign Rudy Gay next season…

or trade for him now, I would be okay with it.

The man knows his business. Far be it for me to question him…

I had to stop arguing with drunks, Steeler fans, and all other fools.
It was making my brick wall jealous...

really liked....

gay and was glad that we had picked him up, was kinda like WTF when the whole battier thing went down, but shane is one of the best defenders in the NBA. so its not so bad, i like knowin we have a weapon to defend the other teams best player. if we found a way to not give away to much, especially mess with key players, id be hyped to get him in here. wonder is he is sour at all that we dealt him away in the first place?
