McGrady & Adelman Respond to Woj's Article

"Adelman said on Friday that when they met, the conversation did not get loud, but that McGrady did not want to wait for next week to make his season debut. McGrady could not have played at the time he put on the uniform on Wednesday because that night's inactive list had already been turned in."

Except that Woj has had some credible stories, I’d be inclined to dismiss his article outright.

The absolute key here is the insurance.

If the Woj article is right (and it certainly gives more detail than " a person with knowledge of NBA insurance policies" which could, for all we know, be McGrady, or the author himself. It’s pretty amazing that the Chronicle wants to write such a blanket denial of the yahoo article.

If the insurance is not the issue, if it has paid since last year and will continues to pay, then this is a bit of silliness, and should be dismissed as such.

If the insurance issue is as Yahoo reports, McGrady’s actions can take on another character entirely. One which I’ve written a couple hundred words since reading the Yahoo piece, damnit.
