Though I do disagree about people not agreeing with the Rafer Alston trade. It was pretty blatantly the right thing to do.

It was absolutely the right thing to do, but recall that Kenny Smith and Charles Barkley both said that the Rockets were “packing it in” for the season after McGrady’s surgery and the Alston trade. Of course, neither of those guys is a serious analyst, but I think that was the prevailing opinion outside of the stats-inclined guys like Dwyer.

And, from what I remember, opinions around here and at CF were decidedly mixed.
