Rockets @ Raptors, 12/13/2009, 12:00 CST

Houston Rockets at Toronto Raptors, Dec 13, 2009 11:30 AM CST

For the discerning fan, there's nothing quite like day basketball.

You're going to be tempted to watch the Texans game, but that's just going to lead to tears, and you know it.

Here's some highlights from the greatest Rocket and Raptor of all time, undoubtedly the star player for both franchises. You all know who I'm talking about:

Uh, I’m looking at the boxscores here, and I’m not seeing that. Whatever, you crazy canucks.

What the hell?

Ariza needs to switch shoes or learn how to tie his laces.

by Moondebah on Dec 13, 2009 12:42 PM CST reply actions

That was a pretty dick move by Ariza.

Especially when DeRozen wasn’t even playing dirty.

Looked more like Ariza was like “God Damn I missed” more than “Fuck you DeRozan”

Ugh, not pretty.

Only saw the first quarter, and I’m busy finishing up a term paper, but Ariza had a pretty awful game. Brooks wasn’t great, either.

I’ll try to watch the game on replay later and get a recap done.

It wasn't so bad.

We missed an unconscionable number of 3s and layups, but clawed back from a 20 point deficit in the 3rd to worry them at the end. If a shooting performance that bad, even against a .400 team, results in a moderate away loss, we aren’t in such a horrible position.

ugly morning best forgotten

Ariza’a day was among the worst of the wrost. He’s starting to have ugly offensive performances too frequently. We can’t go far if Brooks/Landry/Scola is the entirety of the offense.

That was one of the worst games I've ever watched

Seriously, just horrible

I personally am getting more and more frustrated that we wont let Tmac play.

He won’t disrupt the offense thattt much to where its better without him.

Ariza takes 20 odd shots almost regularly (given Adelman wants him to) but Tmac can take some of that offense off of Arizas shoulders so he is more comfortable offensively. Ariza could still average 15 – 20 off of a much better shooting percentage.

The idea of Adelman encouraging Ariza to be such a focal point in our offense doesn’t make as much sense as bringing Tmac back to the roster.

Reason because Ariza will not be in this exact role next year with Yao definitely back. He will never be asked to just shoot away ever again after this year. I’d put money on it.

So why not just let Tmac play? I don’t see him disrupting the growth of anyone substantially, nor is he going to make the team worse at all in any category.

Agreed. I sure hope all this talk of the Rockets “not wanting to play TMac” is just speculation and hogwash. We sure as heck won’t do well if Ariza keeps being Low-Percent Larry all season… and, in my opinion, being 20% or so into the season, I don’t see any players changing much from what they’ve shown to this point.

I’d rather see a video of the 99% of the time those moves ended up in easy missed layups- god bless aaron brooks

damn who is this Rafer Alston guy?

Do you think we could pick him up? He looks like he’s got MAD skillzzz.

jesus christ- i dont know if this whole post was a joke or what. We traded rafer alston last year so we could have aaron brooks start. rafer alston was worthless

For fans of both Houston teams…

… I hope you watched the Texans game instead.

The Rocket game VS the Raptors was a tough one to watch…

I had to stop arguing with drunks, Steeler fans, and all other fools.
It was making my brick wall jealous...
