Rockets: The third most watchable team in the NBA?
Mike Prada of SB Nation and Bullets Forever offers his opinion on the most watchable teams in the NBA. The Rockets end up at number three, which excites, and yet, slightly confuses me. I mean, we're fun to watch, but personally, I'd rather go for a Celtics game. Then again, I hate the Celtics, so it's nice to see us ahead.

Yeah, it is a real treat for those out of market fans.
In addition, there’s a story where Adelman (rightly in my opinion) is complaining about the Rockets December schedule with 4 back to backs, and virtually no block of time home for the holidays. My sense is that along with no TV, since everyone made up their minds that Houston would be terrible (despite this unit playing LA to 7 games ) that we also got the early season “black bean” schedule.
Not that the NBA, with its noted commitment to justice (like LA 17 of 21 at home to open the year – get that luxury tax paid early!) would do a thing like that.
I could be wrong,
But I thought the schedules came out late last season when no one knew Yao would be out? I know the national TV schedule didnt come out until after Yao’s injury but Im pretty positive the “black bean” schedule is a normal occurrence for the Rockets and not just a result of low expectations. It seems the Rockets always have a lot of back-to-backs with many of them being against tough teams or with long travel (Home to @ Minn and Home to @ Denver this season are a few examples). I remember when JVG was here and he got fined for making remarks about the officials in the playoffs, the next season we had a ridiculous amount of difficult back-to-backs.
All that being said, I wouldnt be surprised if there was an extra bit of “black bean” this season.
"Every time you turn on ESPN you see Bama" - Earl Thomas' answer when asked what excites him most about the National Championship.
To all Houston sports fans, Houston is the 4th biggest city in America, there will be traffic on the way to your respective sports game. Come Early, Be Loud, Stay Late.

Not even 40secs into the high(low)light, he blames Rafer Alston for inefficiency…
Frankly I'm a fan of the TV schedule.
As someone who lives outside Texas, doesn’t have a TV, and was thinking of buying League Pass Broadband anyway, now this means that I can watch EVERY Rockets game from the comfort of my own bed (since none are blacked out). I don’t miss out on watching it with friends because noone here is a Rockets fan anyway..
Of course, I don’t like what the national TV schedule implies, which is that Houston is a waste. But we seem to be taking care of that perception on our own.
Anyone who really appreciates watching basketball being played as a team game…
… should like to watch the Rockets.
They are a fun team to watch. Plus, since they have no superstars active on the roster, they have some rooting for them as an underdog of sorts.
It makes it easier to follow them when they are entertaining to watch, even though the chances of this team winning the title this year are very remote…
I had to stop arguing with drunks, Steeler fans, and all other fools.
It was making my brick wall jealous...
