Trade TMAC to Knicks
Ok I think I have the solution to trading Tmac.
Rokets Trade TMac and Jermaine Taylor to Knicks
Knicks trade Larry Hughes and Cuttino Mobley to Rockets
This trade gives you a useful player in Larry Hughes. Larry is a good defender and an ok scorer. This trade also puts tracy in a place where he will get playing time and could prove his worth. I think Lary could be a nice fit for the Rockets.

sorry but thats a horrible trade
T-Mac has value to the Rockets even though he’s not playing. He has 23 million worth of value to be more exact. Morey will not trade T-Mac just to get rid of him. If he sits at home for the rest of the season so be it, thats 23 mil off our books at the end of the season to help us sign Scola and Lowry among others. Tracy will not be traded unless its for an All-Star or future All-Star. (If more T-Mac creates more trouble that could change though.)
"Every time you turn on ESPN you see Bama" - Earl Thomas' answer when asked what excites him most about the National Championship.
To all Houston sports fans, Houston is the 4th biggest city in America, there will be traffic on the way to your respective sports game. Come Early, Be Loud, Stay Late.
Larry Hughes is a useful player in what sense?
His kidneys could be sold for big $$? He could go pick up dinner for his teamates? His towel waving ability is solid?
Sorry, I hate to make fun of a new poster here, but I believe Larry Hughes is the exact opposite of what the Rockets want in their players, in pretty much every respect. Even though the Knicks look like a sensible trade partner, their roster is so overwhelmingly toxic, thanks to mismanagement, that no deal that makes any sense for Houston can be concocted.
I mean, why trade Taylor? Why not give minutes that would presumably go to Hughes to Taylor instead?

What’s the thought on rookie Jordan Hill? He’s been the subject of some speculation to come in along with a couple bad contracts, though he only has one year after this one.
as a knick fan...
i came here wondering what you palookas might think you can get for a mcgrady these days.
and in all honesty- jordan hill is ok. he has the potential to amount to something, but will probably pan out as a journeyman. someone who will always have a team, provided he wants to be on one. the only problem is, he seems satisfied just to be on the bench. maybe he knows he’s not ready. and just needs to get a year or two under his belt. it’s tough to tell because he never gets any playing time. i like what i see when he plays though.
fades away on his jumper too much. but all in all, he seems like a player and a natural athlete. but he’s just too nice. he smiles a lot. i don’t get it.

dude what?
I think McGrady is a useless shell of his former self…
but even that useless shell is more valuable than Larry Hughes.
Last I checked, Jermaine Taylor > Larry Hughes
So we’re going to give up the two better players in the deal for what, a has-been shooting guard who has limited range, a bad attitude and poor passing skills? Uh….NO!
B^2
In Daryl Morey, Rick Smith and Ed Wade we (usually) trust.
Crazy
That Trade wont Work. If you ask me I wouldnt mind Going TMac for Kevin Martin and Kenny Thomas. Kenny Thomas expires after this season opening up 8Mil+. We(Rockets) Get a reliable offensive Threat in Martin (Guys not Injury Prone Just had a Freak broken ARM) SAC would get someone who can help Teach Tyreke Evans. That makes more sense. Than Larry WHO’s
I think in order for the Rockets to get anything of any use for Tmacs contract its gonna take a 3 team deal, no matter who or just about who gets involved. I personally want Bosh, so next year it’d be:
PG- Brooks/Lowry
SG- Ariza/Taylor/Harris(if they keep him)
SF- Battier/Budinger
PF- Bosh/Scola/Landry/Hayes
C- Yao/Andersen/Dorsey(hes a beast on the boards!)
Yao wont play as much so most of the time Bosh or Scola can move to C with Landry as a backup PF.
Maybe if Tor ends up sucking bad this year & Knicks really want Macs contract this would work:
Rockets- Bosh/Hughes (expiring contract ).
Knicks- Tmacs contract
Raptors- Harrington/Cook (both expiring)
of course Hughes & Harrington can be swapped if Rockets or Raptors want doesnt matter both expire this year but the $ works on the trade machine dont ya just luv trade speculation!? GO ROCKETS!!
..aint no place & no teams like HOUSTON!!
-Q-
yao still favored in houston?
i’d love it if the rockets got bosh, that way, i wouldn’t have to hear all these idiots in new york act like he could handle the pressure.

id do it in a heatbeat
but the knicks want to dump their shitty contracts and refuse to make any trade that doesnt get rid of their shitty contracts..
why would the raptors do this??? they basically say f’ this season and every season to come..
expiring contracts are only good if you are going for a big name agent. raptors are going for bosh….
trading him away then doesnt quite work out…
well everyone knows Bosh is leaving, hell on the Raps blog site they’re (of course they’re just fans like us) but are proposing trades cause they know Bosh isnt staying! this trade gives em cap space & no a “big name” probably wont be going to Toronto but this move allows them to sign a mediocre left over free agent or offer Harrington the $ if he indeed plays well or decides he wants to stay. this year from what I can tell they are already anticipating the Bosh exit so if they can get something in return I think they’d do it! maybe like I heard earlier in the season that Daryl released POPS so he can sign with the Raps as a favor to their GM. well he should return the favor with 1st shot at Bosh, lol! wishful thinking…
..aint no place & no teams like HOUSTON!!
-Q-
dude are you serious?
yes the contract issues favors us but we are getting nobody in return and we are trading taylor. more is too smart to do this.

you guys got nothing to worry about though
because donnie walsh has pretty much ruled out trading cuttino mobley’s contract. donnie is a man of principle and integrity. and he’s got dandruff.
hughes’ contract expires, so at least that would be a wash. and i’m a huge larry hughes hater, but i gotta be honest- he has been solid this year. doesn’t force shots and distributes the ball very nicely. unfortunately, he moves slowly and would benefit from a team that likes to play half-court offense. great instincts on defense.
i haven’t seen the rockets play. so i don’t have any idea if he would fit in. but he’s been a good teammate and a great professional so far this year.
the question is really how bad do you wanna dump mcgrady? i’m fairly certain you could get a guy that has value. as opposed to a guy who isn’t a liability anymore.

I'd think the Knicks would try & keep Hughes cause his contract expires this year,
which is what the Knicks want EC’s. Also half court, yeah not here! I think alot of ROCKETS fans are really hoping for the Iguodala trade to go through I know I AM! I’m sure if that trade happens we end up with Dalembert but if it gets us AI & Speights I’ll be smiling with my brand spanking new Iguodala jersey on! We need a 2 & a big to take up Yao’s minutes when he’s on the bench or gets injured again & I think Speights is that.
NEVER underestimate the heart of a champion...
