Should be good

ouch

another year gone for Oden?

by Metalate on Dec 5, 2009 9:26 PM CST reply actions

That's awful for Oden.

The Rockets talk should perk up after (hopefully) a Longhorn victory.

by Xiane on Dec 5, 2009 9:33 PM CST up reply actions

Kudos to the Rockets staff for being the first to help

That’s when you know it’s pretty ugly, when the staff from the opposing team sprints faster than your own can get from their end of floor.

That sucks big time, poor bloke can't catch a break

"We obviously didn’t know the scouting report that well on Andersen. We knew he’s a shooter but we didn’t see him play at that level." Phil Jackson on underestimating the aussie

Solid first quarter. Scola shoulda made the buzzer beater though

by VBG on Dec 5, 2009 9:38 PM CST reply actions

How did Greg Oden get hurt?

How many Biletnikoffs does he have? NOT TWO!

by ak2themax on Dec 5, 2009 9:39 PM CST reply actions

Not sure, might have misplanted the foot on the leap

He collided with Brooks in mid-air, but that wasn’t serious for a 260+ pound guy and it didn’t look like he landed awkwardly. And it’s the other knee, not the microfractured one.

Ceterum censeo Lakers esse delendam

by Norsktroll on Dec 5, 2009 9:40 PM CST up reply actions

looked to me

like the knee just gave out as he planted to go up.

by Metalate on Dec 5, 2009 9:42 PM CST up reply actions

Hmm. I missed that. I hope he’s fine. The Blazers look like they’re gonna collapse this season.

by VBG on Dec 5, 2009 9:50 PM CST up reply actions

Is he holding an oxygen mask?

Would add to the myth that he’s actually 60 years old

How many Biletnikoffs does he have? NOT TWO!

by ak2themax on Dec 5, 2009 10:00 PM CST up reply actions

Finally a 3 is knocked down

by VBG on Dec 5, 2009 9:52 PM CST reply actions

DALLAS is losing

theyre down by 3 .. 17 secs.remaining in the final period . dallas ball.. hope they continue their losing streak

by CONAIR on Dec 5, 2009 10:28 PM CST reply actions

Holy Crap Longhorns win by the skin of their teeth.

I’m relieved, but wow, wtf was that at the end?

by Xiane on Dec 5, 2009 10:31 PM CST reply actions

yeah

What was the point of that play?

How many Biletnikoffs does he have? NOT TWO!

by ak2themax on Dec 5, 2009 10:33 PM CST up reply actions

Nice flop Miller.

Andre Miller – just one of those players I don’t like.

by Xiane on Dec 5, 2009 10:55 PM CST reply actions

Thinking he'll get traded to a contender in the east by feb

"We obviously didn’t know the scouting report that well on Andersen. We knew he’s a shooter but we didn’t see him play at that level." Phil Jackson on underestimating the aussie

by DREAM34 on Dec 5, 2009 11:02 PM CST up reply actions

Can anyone figure out these whistles?

Lots of flopping, whining, lots of calls for little stuff, almost nothing inside. I can’t figure it out – but Portland has 24 FTA to our 11.

by Xiane on Dec 5, 2009 11:04 PM CST reply actions

Let's hear no more Scola complaints out of Portland with that awful, awful, Bayless flop.

Lowry is backing away with his arms in the air – foul call – Lowry. Amazing.

by Xiane on Dec 5, 2009 11:07 PM CST reply actions

Damn. 1 point deficit.

Watching this game with korean commentators is awesome. They are like PODINGA

by VBG on Dec 5, 2009 11:09 PM CST reply actions

Sounds fun.

German basketball commentary is fun too.

by Xiane on Dec 5, 2009 11:12 PM CST up reply actions

Landry is a beast.....again

"We obviously didn’t know the scouting report that well on Andersen. We knew he’s a shooter but we didn’t see him play at that level." Phil Jackson on underestimating the aussie

by DREAM34 on Dec 5, 2009 11:10 PM CST reply actions

If only that Lowry shot went in.

by VBG on Dec 5, 2009 11:14 PM CST reply actions

Damn, missed both free throws

by VBG on Dec 5, 2009 11:15 PM CST reply actions

Being in the bonus is nice

Just gotta hit the free throws…

How many Biletnikoffs does he have? NOT TWO!

by ak2themax on Dec 5, 2009 11:15 PM CST reply actions

FUCKING FLOP ZILLA

by VBG on Dec 5, 2009 11:19 PM CST reply actions

I know. They don't believe their guys flop because they see Scola doing it.

But if the shoe fits…

The fault really lies with the refs – for buying into that stuff.

by Xiane on Dec 5, 2009 11:23 PM CST up reply actions

AB handles were like Ariza's then

so maybe that Brandon Roy guy is good…

How many Biletnikoffs does he have? NOT TWO!

by ak2themax on Dec 5, 2009 11:33 PM CST reply actions

Ugh

Even if we score here, we’ll leave time for a crazy last second Brandon Roy three.

by jack_ on Dec 5, 2009 11:34 PM CST reply actions

Finally, someone else scores..

I hope Trevor Ariza can keep up with Roy this time.. Perhaps, they should switch Battier on Roy..

by Kari on Dec 5, 2009 11:36 PM CST reply actions

please get a stop...please

gotta keep roy off the elbow

by DREAM34 on Dec 5, 2009 11:38 PM CST reply actions

well

tough loss. Someone else besides Landry and Scola has to do something

How many Biletnikoffs does he have? NOT TWO!

by ak2themax on Dec 5, 2009 11:38 PM CST reply actions

Brooks ends up on the deck, maybe I can get a screen cap of Blake's arm on his..

ah well – screw it. After Oden got hurt Portland remembered who their superstar is.

by Xiane on Dec 5, 2009 11:39 PM CST reply actions

pity brooks didn't get the shot up earlier

so landry tip would have counted

"We obviously didn’t know the scouting report that well on Andersen. We knew he’s a shooter but we didn’t see him play at that level." Phil Jackson on underestimating the aussie

by DREAM34 on Dec 5, 2009 11:40 PM CST reply actions

heartbreaking loss

monster game from landry put to waste..brooks and trevor have off nights.. next time in this kind of situation , better stick to lowry and bud , if the twos not clicking…

by CONAIR on Dec 5, 2009 11:44 PM CST reply actions

Good game guys

Pretty sad about Oden. The guy is just loved by us Portland fans. And coming off a monster 22 rebound game too.

I gotta thank you for one thing—we haven’t seen that kind of fire from Brandon Roy at all, so getting him on track makes up a little bit for the Oden injury. I’m sure you’re not too happy about it, but we sure are….

Oh and Landry is a lot better than I knew. We’ve got a Landry-lite in Dante Cunningham—hoping he continues to improve like I think he will.

by jamon51 on Dec 5, 2009 11:48 PM CST reply actions

Yeah, that really sucks

Outlaw had a great game against us at the beginning of the season and now he’s out too.
We feel your pain…

by Carlos_HoustonSportsFanatic on Dec 5, 2009 11:50 PM CST up reply actions

Yes, Roy really responds to Houston. Terrible about Oden, the poor kid can't stay healthy.

We should play lazy D on Roy or something – it would work better – just giving up jumpers.

Landry should be a frontrunner for 6th man of the year right now. He and Scola are both frontline PF.

by Xiane on Dec 5, 2009 11:54 PM CST up reply actions

I didn't like the last play

Aside from Aaron having a bad shooting night, past history has shown that AB going to the basket in the final play of the game only leads to no-calls and disappointing loses (Spurs)

He should’ve pulled up for the jumper like he did against Golden State or let Landry or Scola post up
