Also, never expect Yao to be able to catch a pass that doesn't directly hit him
He’s uhhh… agility-challenged.

As is every other center in the league not named Dwight Howard
Not that the point isn’t valid though
He tried a long pass to Yao on a fast break that was a bit comical last night
Apparently he hadn’t watched too many Rocket games. If Yao had the athleticism of a typical power forward, it would have been no problem. He’s got some familiarization issues, but I really liked what I saw from him last night. His penetrating ability was evident, and this gives the Rockets two point guards with the ability to break down the defense for the first time in a great while.
I am pumped up because the NEW LOOK Rockets had much more energy and tempo on offense, than the T-Mac Rockets.

Lowry made the pass
Yao even commented about it in the article in today’s chron. Yao said he needs to catch those long passes, but he would have had to really get up high to get that one. In time Lowry will “get it down”.

I was thinking the same on one of Lowry’s drive and dish plays, which hayes promptly missed.
