At least Artest has the right spirit.
"I take the blame for the loss," Artest said. There were things I could have done to help us sustain the lead we had. I definitely take the blame.
Like STOP FUCKING SHOOTING. In the fourth quarter, the Rockets need to slow things down, get the ball to the low post, and use their dominate center and forwards to score. That’s easier said than done, but it always seems like the Rockets go into desperation mode whenever the opposing team starts to make a run, throwing up threes and settling for jumpers way too early.
Still, nice to see him own up like that.
That's like the 3rd time he's "taken the blame" for the loss
I’d rather him just stop taking the blame and being proactive about it on the court.

Both Rafer and T-Mac would always defer to Yao
Adelman should get the Yao stat of the Rockets W/L when he scores at least 20 points and emphasize that over and over again. I’m glad y’all are calling out Artest for this despite shooting fairly efficiently. It’s pretty obvious he’s trying to get his numbers for contractual reasons.
Great game by our starting PG Aaron Brooks. At least when Alston goes 2-9, you can count on his solid defense, tough mentality, free possessions from his steals (which happens in the clutch also), a very good assist-turnover ratio, and someone that always passes to Yao. When Brooks can’t shoot straight, he sucks, and that is all. It’s pretty obvious Morey took a gamble with this trade and is looking towards the future. Lets see how Brooks plays in the playoffs. He was horrible last year, and we can only hope we don’t face Utah again.

How does Yao not get a shot in the 4th quarter?
I can’t think of any “great” center that can be so easily contained by a simple strategy like fronting. It’s just unreal. I would take a motivated Shaq at this age over him right now.

take a HUGE step back and realize the ridiculousness of your statement
I was only able to see fom 8 minutes to the end of this game, but in absolutely no way was yao at fault. He had position repeatedly but the team wasn’t swinging the ball. Man I thought you just loved McGrady and were just playing devils advocate but that’s stepping into full yao hate silliness

It's pretty simple
When Shaq is motivated to play well like he is now, he’s better than Yao on defense, rebounding, and aggressiveness. There wouldn’t be a fronting problem with him. I wouldn’t trade a cash cow in Yao to get him, but this team would be better if we had Shaq instead.

Name one thing I said was false
did you see Shaq just DOMINATE the Lakers? Suns beat them without Nash. I WISH Yao could dominate a team like that. Instead he’s a finesse player relying on his jumpshot.

wow
Yeah, I’m going to extrapolate the results of ONE game to a whole season.
Yup, that’s what I am going to do.
Shaq has been in a poor system
if he was on the Rockets, and we decided to revolve the offense around him, the way we do around Yao, he would put up much better numbers on a consistent basis.

How?
Can you not revolve the offense around someone and have them get 45 points? or 33 points? Sure, they run, but they get him the ball as much as possible. To agree with Dave,
You, sir, have just lost all credibility.

So what?
So Shaq, who is allowed to bowl over other players and has been able to his entire career can’t be fronted on the Suns who have one of the greatest passers in NBA history getting him the ball, that means Yao sucks? Yao is officiated in a way that it’s impossible for him to do the things Shaq does to not be fronted, that’s so plain and simple I don’t understand why anyone that is an NBA fan wouldn’t understand it.

Explain what happened today
without “one of the greatest passers in NBA history getting him the ball” Shaq scored 33 against the best team in the West and helped them win the game. And I never said Yao sucks. Don’t put words in my mouth. I said I would rather have Shaq on this team than Yao.

today's explanation
Shaq had a good game.
The End.
You know that Tony Delk once scored 50 points in a game, right? He must be better than Yao, too because Yao hasn’t scored 50.
One game does not a proper analysis make.
LOL what a way to compare Delk to Shaq, as if Shaq has never had a good game before

Shaq is 37 now.
He had good games in his younger years. There’s no point in making this argument because there is no argument. Yao>Shaq as of today. The end.

I'd also like to point out a little fact
Shaq is a top 10 all time center, there is no shame in not being as good as him. But you are flat out wrong to want Shaq of this year over Yao of this year

You forgot to put “/troll” at the end of your post, otherwise people are going to think you’re really serious.
you shouldn't tell people
when you’re trolling. If you tell people, it’s not a troll.
Yao can’t get a shot because he’s soft. We need to trade him for Shaq right now!
