What about scola??

I voted for von and think it will be von. But i think scola should have been an option. This was his first year starting and he improved a good amount, but he also had the olympics las summer. I believe that with a year of starting under his belt and no compitition this summer, Luis will improve a great deal next season.

Waiting for the day Houston gets some sports respect.

nope

Scola is great, but he’s pretty much maxed out his ability.

yeah

Scola’s essentially a finished product. He is what he is. Fortunately, what he is is pretty awesome.

See i just dont see that

We all have seen how good scola can be with yao out of the lineup. I believe that if scola gets more touches next season (which he should already have this season, why dont we ever post up scola with yao in the game??) he will improve. He is a great shooter and is still learning the nba game. I dont know how much more he can improve, but i def dont think he is already maxed out.

Another good question.

I think McGrady will be back in force next year, but that’s dependent on a lot of issues.

Von is an odd case. I think he’ll improve a little more as he figures out defense, but I think this is pretty much what we can expect from him on offense. Nothing wrong with that, and he’ll be a strong bench player, but I don’t think he’ll be much more than that. Of course, he’s only 23, so anything could happen. The same applies to Brooks.

To me, it comes down to Lowry and Landry. Landry strikes me as such an explosive player (he’s got a 123 o-rating on the season) and he has the makeup of a good defender (and he’s played pretty good defense this year, too). He’s the Rockets’ PF of the future, provided he can stay healthy.

What concerns me about Lowry is the way he plays. He loves to just run into crowds of defenders to draw contact, and while that’s a great asset, he seems to get banged up on a lot of plays. He’s a classic distributing point guard with a lot of speed and defensive ability, and I think he’s probably going to start next season. He’s disciplined on defense, he knows his weaknesses, and he’s the best point guard the Rockets have had since Francis was any good.

Oh, and going over the Rockets’ young players is another reminder that Daryl Morey is a freaking genius.

oh yeah

so I think Landry wins. I like him a lot, and I think he’ll really have a great season next year.

ummm

I voted for Kyle Lowry.
I couldn’t vote for Von because I’m afraid his “improvement” won’t be as a Rocket next year. :-(

maybe

I think it was Lee who said that we’re probably overestimating the demand for Von’s services next season. And remember that Ron’s Bird rights might mean we can afford to keep Von. But that depends on whether or not Les Alexander is willing to let Morey exceed the salary cap further.

Obviously T-Mac. He was useless at the end of the season. lol
