TDS Regular Season Awards - Most Valuable Player
The 2009 NBA regular season has come to a close. Thus, it is time to vote on Rockets-specific awards. By the time Saturday's playoff opener against Portland rolls around, all of the fan awards will have been given out. Following our postseason endeavors, Dave, Lee, and myself will give out some awards of our own. But for now, it's all about you guys. Vote!
Previous Awards: Most Improved -- Most Impressive Victory -- Best Defensive Player -- Most Promising Future -- Biggest Surprise

Question
The Dream Shake is an ode to Ralph Sampson? Right? (Okay, I’m kidding.)
There are always players in every playoff series that make a difference, and it’s always a bit difficult to anticipate who they are. The obvious names get thrown out, but it’s always a Chuck Hayes or Nicholas Batum that makes a different.
(Oh, and I totally wanted to say the “Dream Shake” was a Sampson move. I just didn’t think anybody would believe me that I believed that.)

To expand on my point above about Batum/Hayes
Hayes could guard Oden under certain circumstances if Yao isn’t on the floor. On the other hand. Batum could neutralize Artest effectively, or perhaps Scola at times, or something like that. Batum has been something of an unsung hero all year for Portland, and Hayes is his counterpart.
I hate to say this because I know how much Sleepy Hitler is loved around these parts, but I find it likely Adelman will out coach McMillan. Because of that I think the Rox will move on. But, I’ve been very wrong before. (And, I probably think Adelman is a better coach than most people. Like 99.9% of all people in fact.)

Id have to disagree about batum guarding artest
Artest loves to bull his defender inside and then use his body get the ball up against longer defenders, much like a point guard. Batum is longer than artest but hes also much skinner and i think artest would have a field day against him, unless he goes crazy pills and just shoots jumpers.
Waiting for the day Houston gets some sports respect.
