I hate agreeing with Richard Justice, but... Rockets in 6 it is!
Yes, here's one of those rare times when I agree with Richard Justice.
I feel dirty, but I'll take a "Rockets in 6" series any day. Especially if JVG says the Trail Blazers really don't have much of a chance. Yes, JVG says the Rockets should dominate. I like JVG!
Go Rockets!

Blazers win,,, Blazers win
Im sure glad I dont know who this Richard is. But he sounds like one.
GO BLAZERS
I try to help with everything," Fernandez said. "If the coach says go rebound, I go rebound. I work for the team.
""If I'm playing this game to get media and attention, I shouldn't be here," Aldridge said. "I'm here to play basketball, and do what I can do to help this team win."
Every post on this stupid website
“Rockets in 6. Rockets it 6 because we won the season series 2-1. Rockets in 6 because Yao is taller than Oden. Rockets in 6 because Ron Artest is good at defense. Rockets in 6 because this one dude said so. Rockets in 6 because Portland is young. Rockets in 6 because we’re due to get out of the first round. Rockets in 6 because even though we haven’t won in Portland this year and they have home court advantage, Rocket fans aren’t counting that game.”
Jeez I thought I would at least find some sort of intelligent writing or breakdown when I came over to this site. All this stuff is just plain stupid. Grungedave, are you old enough to be using a computer?
C'mon man
Settle down there, Jr. What do you expect? You want us to say its going to be close and thats it? This blog is awesome so theres no reason to slam it and theres good reason to believe we are winning in 6. Especially with Oden possibly being out. You guys are on a roll as of late but that doesn’t mean anything when you play a team that matches up very well with you. Just like us with the Jazz, they match up very well with us and yes I hate them for that. Well, I hate them for a ton of reasons but thats one of them. lol This should make for a very exciting series either way. Good luck!

I don't care about the prediction
It’s the fact that every single reason given is juvenile. I haven’t seen once intelligent breakdown. A previoius post said that the Rockets are winning in 6 because they won the season series 2-1….uh, ok. What about the fact that every team protected home court, and Portland has home court?
It just seems like a bunch of high schoolers posting garbage……My dad could beat up your dad!
ummm
This is not Blazers Edge. Do not expect a mirror image for the Rockets.
We will have a game/series preview up soon, but in the meantime, chill the fuck out.
yah we won 2-1
you guys won on a last second shot, we dominated you in both other games (although we gave up most of our lead in the 2nd game)
home court is not the end-all-be-all. just because over at the blazers edge, fans are pretty even sayin blazers in 6, blazers in 7, rockets in 6, rockets in 7, and we at the dream shake arent does NOT mean that we’re not logical. it just means that we’re more confident in our team than you guys.
and to say that our reasons are juvenile? they are the same reasons we beat you 2-1 this season. so hey, if being juvenile is the key to beating you, then, sure your dads might be able to beat up my dad, but thats only because they outnumber him 2-1.
fyi, i have changed my prediction from rockets in 7 to rockets in 6, just for you.
CVD - really?
The rest of the Blazer fans that are here to check out the pulse of what Rocket fans are feeling recognize that this is a FAN site. There doesn’t have to be anything “objective” or “analytical” here. It is a FAN site. If you want objective analysis, go to ESPN (picking Rockets in 6) or SI (picking Blazers in 6). Otherwise, participate in some fun banter and enjoy the ride.
"Greed is Good."
So is Rudy.
im impressed
you guys are classy for the most part :)
cvd stop complaining about the reasons we think we
are going to win and go look at the reasons yall think portland is gonna win. Rockets fans say we will win due to matchups and the games already played head to head. Blazers fans have been saying they will win du to home court and because the blazers are on a streak. your reasons arent in any way better than our reasons.

blazers fans are mostly classy.
after all, we had to survive the jail-blazer era – right up there with the cincy bengals for worst sports teams in history.
"Greed is Good."
So is Rudy.
i agree
that must have sucked for yall, but it was fun for the rest of the country. and my point to cvd was that both sides have been arguing the same points the past couple days.

I know man
these fucking guys… It’s almost like they’re biased or something.
Seriously, I hope you quit the internet.
c'mon CVD
you can be a blazer fan without slamming Houston fans on a Houston Fan Blog. this is a good blog
"Greed is Good."
So is Rudy.
This is a good blog
I hope Houston fans realise its game day. Blazers fans will be firing freindly shots at them all day.

nice article by Richard Justice except
Except he’s obviously NEVER seen Joel Pryzbilla play a EVER, even ONCE. To imply that Pryzbilla’s D is predicated on the flop is easily the most ignorant comment I’ve read in any print leading up to this series. I’m not even going to debate the outcome of the series, or your fans’ (undeserved?) worship of Yao. The plain fact is, Pryz is one of the toughest SOBs in the entire Association. Anyone he’s ever guarded will tell you that. The fact that Shaq makes a point of singularly razzing Joel is telling. Joel takes a SHITLOAD of charges, but almost never flops.
Oh, and if Jeff Van Gundy couldn’t coach this team out of a wet paper bag, what makes you think he can accurately predict their playoff performance? He’s the biggest clown in ABC’s three ring circus. Just saying.
Look, all I know is
We’re 2-1 against you on the season. Those are pretty good statistics if you ask me.
We should have had a win at the Rose Garden, you got lucky//we didn’t defend Roy properly.
We have playoff experience and your team generally doesn’t
Sure you finished the season going 9-1 (but who was that one loss to again?)
I don’t know man, I like the Rockets in this series
Houston in 6
JVG took two stars
and an assload of scrubs to the playoffs. He is a fantastic coach

LMFAO!! Pryzbilla??? .... your joking right???
hmmm jt this is a tough one ?? Pryzbilla…. or Yao?? ..
oh and by the way who cares what Shaq says about anyone, Shaq said Kobe smells like his ass… so whatever Shaq says is just immature and meaningless….
Rocket fans need to look the season averages for both centers in order for old jtkerr to have his foot placed firmly in his mouth … lets have a look see ?? shall we??
YAO = 19.7 points 9.9 boards and 2.2 blocks
Pryzbilla = 5.5 points 8.7 boards and 1.2 blocks
CASE CLOSED…………
add that up over a playoff series and see what you get— – hell why dont you throw in Oden stats too just for kicks , Portland STILL comes out on the loseing end….
- also, for a good laugh, take at look at the centers numbers for the last game – better yet take a look at th season averages for both centers for every rocket/blazer game this season.. there not even close.. Yao obviously DOMINATES J.Pryzbilla ..
jtkerr79 — maybe thats the reason one center is a repeat all star and no has ever heard of the other???
do rockets fans know how to READ?
I didn’t say anything in my post about Pryz having better numbers than Yao. Perhaps you could try actually READING before replying. What I said was that Richard Justice, apparently a sports columnist/gas station attendant/special ed student should do his homework more. Nowhere in my post did I say Joel puts up big numbers. Nowhere did I say he was a six-time all star. Nowhere did I say Shaq wrote a rap about him. (Its kobe, tell me how my ass tastes by the way.) What I said was, your Richard Justice should at least look at some game film and do a little homework. I realize that may be above your reading comprehension levels MGFLOYD71. But read it again, or have your seven year old explain it.
Read the game preview
I recognize that he is a good defender. That said, he was floptastic last night

I read the game preview
It was good. A hell of a lot better than that beat reporter’s crap. Maybe you should work for the newspaper down there. Y’all should get used to other team’s fans coming in to the blog. It’s all in the spirit of being a loyal and analytical fan and supporting your team while at the same time having fun.
haha
It’s like he wants us to disagree with his assessment of Richard Justice.
RJ should be working in the snack bar because there is no way he could be this bad at basketball analysis and still have a job. And yet… he does.
why do blazer fans get irritated so easily??
its not nice to go into other peoples house’s (rockets blog) and diss their furniture (rockets bloggers). most of us dont like richard justice so your saying that he needs to do more research or that he sucks is not something we need to read to understand.
Waiting for the day Houston gets some sports respect.
