Tracy's Pick for the Title:
"Lakers. (Host: That easy, again?) It’s no knock on Cleveland, I think Cleveland’s gonna get there… Cleveland to me is really not that good. If you take what the Celtics did last year… You knew, they were either gonna get to the finals, or they were gonna win it. You can’t really say the same thing about the Cavaliers. Although, they had the best record in the league this year, a lot of people like, ‘Okay, they havin’ a great year, but we don’t know if they can win the championship.’ They really didn’t do anything on the road with the elite teams in the league, they lost, they had a bad record when they went to face the elite teams in the league. I think they’re a good team, but I don’t they’re ready to take the next step."

The Clutchfans board has already devoted 17 pages to this very topic. I don’t know why I keep going there.

Why even care?

In my opinion, this clown isn’t even a member of this team anymore. He can pick whoever he wants, as long as he doesn’t try to be all buddy-buddy with the guys on the team that still (unfortunately) pays him.

And Tracy McGrady accusing ANYBODY of not being ready for the next level is comical to say the least

I’m surprised it took this long. (22 hours!)

It's not a shitstorm

I don’t care what guys who are not apart of the Rockets feel about the Rockets. I don’t see the big deal actually

Just talked about it with David Nuno on 1560

I think it’s not too big of a deal, but would have been nice for Tracy to say “if the Lakers can get by the Rockets” or something like that, but whatever.

Just silly for him to be talking at all, why does someone care what his opinion is? Because he’s such a playoff veteran?

He’s just sour that we’re getting past the first round this year thanks in no part to him. :)

Actually...um...I kind of agree with him

My gut-level feel: He’s probably right. Look, the Rockets are playing at their best level ever this year. I think they’ll finally make it out of the first round. But next up is whoever gets out of the Lakers/Jazz series, and I just don’t think they have what it takes to get past either team. (Actually, given the choice I think I’d rather play the Lakers, since for whatever reason Utah always seems to have our number.)

I’m sure T-Mac didn’t do himself any favors with his employer. But I appreciate the candor.
