MY FELLOW ROCKETS FANS

You have to go to the blazers edge blog. They are continually running their mouths about how the first game was a fluke and the blazers will still take us down. HA HA HA HA HA. This will never happen. Yao felt sorry for them and let Mutombo take care of his light work. The rockets will win in 4. Get your brooms ready. Be sure to let the fans in portland know how you feel.

No cursing in title. No pirated material, such as links to online game streams. Do not cut/paste entire sections of content from other websites. Thanks.

What's the point?

I don’t see why you would take your time to post on another blog just to say you will beat us. We don’t come over her saying it. We are fans, and have an opinion about how our team will react after Saturdays humiliating loss to you guys. You played perfect, we played crappy. No suprise that you won. I just don’t see why you have to be obnoxious about it.

If you make it out of the first round, it will be the first time in how many years? Just checking.

We don’t come over her saying it

Because I am calling him out?

The guy has been posting all over Blazers Edge the same comments and fanposts. It’s not necessary

I'm with you to some extent

No reason to talk trash just to talk trash. Other fans have their opinions, I’m fine with that.

It does piss me off when people are saying that the Rockets aren’t that good after getting your ass kicked by 30.

I haven't read many posts or comments saying "don't worry, the Rockets will collapse". On the contrary.

Rather the last few days most posts on Blazer’s Edge have dealt with strategizing how to defend Yao, how to defend Brooks, how we should rotate, which players have to step up, if to play with two centers, what the Blazers are talking about in training, etc. Of course fans try to stay positive and say their team will win.

by Norsktroll on Apr 21, 2009 1:16 PM CDT up reply actions

no

because your statement is clearly untrue. Y’all spent the better part of the 48 hours between the end of the season and Saturday’s game posting trash over here. And now, when some Rockets fans are doing the same to you, you come over here and whine. Turnabout is fair play.

If y’all didn’t want this to happen, you should not have poked the bear beforehand.

by Only_A_Lad on Apr 21, 2009 1:13 PM CDT up reply actions

Actually.

I am looking over at the side bar >>>> and the only posts I see from Blazers fans are about the match ups. On Blazers Edge, it’s about how we can change our game plan, etc.

Some people are trolls, both from this site and Blazers Edge. However, it doesn’t mean you should be encouraging trolling by posting stuff like this. Go and puruse Blazers Edge to see if any one has posted a fanpost/fanshot about coming over to your site to talk trash.

take a look at the pre-game threads

what’s the difference?

And, hey, I agree it’s uncouth. But I think you should stop whining about it, too.

Whining huh?

I’ll keep that in mind.

Stay classy Blazer and Rockets fans! That’s all I am saying!

And thanks for dropping by.

I know less than half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

it seems classy

is now synonymous with shameless pity? if we’re supposed to go over to BE after we ravaged them by 25 and say “hey you guys played a GREAT game”, to hell with being classy then. i’m just gonna say what im really thinking, which is SUCK IT.

man mutombo that's fucked up

it’s one thing to say “ha ha ha no way they will win tonight” but it’s completely different when you ask people to go troll someone else’s site.

This is all I have to say

First, I’m a huge, die-hard Rockets fan… just look at my partisan name. The thing is since “The Dream” the Rockets have choked several times in the playoffs. Don’t jinx us by running your mouth and talking trash. Let’s just be friendly and root for the Rockets. Also, if they do take game 2 I will get my broom out

We never said anything like that.

The only thing that sounds like that was a GoRockets post about how we would weep and gnash our teeth as the Rockets beat us.

Are you turning into Jazz fans?

by staylost on Apr 21, 2009 2:33 PM CDT reply actions

JAZZ?

I would rather be an NHL fan than ever watch the jazz. that much i think we could all agree on. Oh, the blazer site banned me pretty quick. i wasn’t even the one putting up the posts. Oh well. Screw ’em. ROCKETS IN 4! Count on it

Constant first round failure has made you guys a bit testy huh?

I hope for the Rockets sake they do get out of the first round this year. Blazer fans know how bright our future is. Houston HAS to win this series.

never heard a blazer fan say that before game 1

kinda odd that they say it now

Game 1 108-81 Rockets

Rockets lead series 1-0

You never heard a Blazer fan say this is not our year to win a championship?

We are playing with house money right now. We are in it for the experience. Does this mean we don’t want our team to win this series? We got cursed with a terrible match up in the first round (fucking James Posey), getting our asses whupped will probably help in the long run. This series has little to do with our future. Rockets are in win now mode, Blazers are in win now and later mode. Weeks before the playoffs started I (and 90% of Bedgers) wanted no part of Houston. We will probably not win this series, doesn’t mean we suck. Be honest…If all-star laden Houston loses to the young Blazers, it would be a ginormous disappointment.

in case you haven't noticed

The rockets window is open as long as Yao puts up 20-10. Provided we can resign artest, most of our contributors and very young (brooks lowry wafer landry scola – well kinda). I swear its because Mutumbo pulls up the rockets average age by about 10 years by himself. Also tmac will finally be of use next year as a valuable trade asset (for his contract only).
I also think its rather naiive of you to say

“Be honest…If all-star laden Houston loses to the young Blazers, it would be a ginormous disappointment.”

I mean some teams out there don’t have the financial capital to go out and purchase 9000 potential allstars… Personally I don’t like throwing that argument out there since the NBA is ultimately a business, and anything goes as long as its within the rules, but I also think you as a blazer fan should humbly keep that fact in mind.

He was a legendary troll

by Sabonis4Ever on Apr 21, 2009 4:53 PM CDT up reply actions

Troll?

You see, this is what im talking about. I never posted anything negative on the blazer site, but got banned anyway. If you go around our blog site, you can find all sorts of blazer fans talking trash like it’s totally ok. I don’t mind getting banned from their site. it’s like being told you can’t have a turd sandwich for dinner. But we have to stick up for our team. We get no respect in the national media. Does anybody remember SI refusing to print that we won the title back in the 90’s? i believe they wrote a story on why hockey is hot and the NBA is not. You can hate me if you want, but i speak the truth. Houstonians, i plead to you, stop taking so much crap from these other guys.
