GOODBYE DEKE

I've always been a rocket fan ever since i started watching basketball. I grew up in houston, so it only makes sense. But I always had an interest in what Deke was up to. He played the game like a football player, and i think thats what i loved the most. No nonsense, no bending, and he never broke. Until last night. ILast night signaled the end of a great basketball era. We will miss you, DEKE. If only i had known that Saturday night was the last time i would see the finger wag, i would have cherished it a lot more. Good luck to you in whatever you decide to do./ Deke walks into a bar when he first arrived in the states. without a grasp on the english language, Deke belts out "who wants to sex Mutombo?". LONG LIVE DEKE. LONG LIVE THE GREAT ONE.

No cursing in title. No pirated material, such as links to online game streams. Do not cut/paste entire sections of content from other websites. Thanks.

He’s always been one of my favorites. I hope he stays around basketball for a long time and keeps doing amazing work in another way. GOD BLESS YOU DEKE!

Amazing career

Great player, and an important teammate whether or not he is playing. Here’s a cool video of Rockets Players imitating Deke (Novak in this)

Mutombo is a true warrior and you saw how tough as hell he is going for the block after blowing his knee out, thats heart. He will be sorely missed by everyone around the league, I hope more players aspire to be like him.

if brandon roy played for toronto he'd be brandon waaaaah

That was definitely incredible...

…and a helluva way to go out. Everyone knew it was over the moment they saw it. He was too tough of a player, and you could read it was over on his face.

We’ve been able to appreciate some serious, shot-blocking talent here in H-town.

Missed it and still tried for one more block. Dayumn!

Warrior heart and a good guy to boot. Not many guys looked like they were having as much fun in a tough game as Deke. He will be missed around the league
