All this officiating moaning has to stop...

Seriously.

Blazers fans and Rockets fans alike.

It seems like no matter what the issue a thread starts talking about it inevitably leads back to how terrible Joey Crawford is or how the league is against us or some other crackpot idea.

Honestly, the guys are just calling the games the way they see it.

If it's too much for your little baby eyes to handle then maybe you need to evaluate your situation as your investing way too much of your emotions into a basketball game.

I love the Rockets.  Everyone over at BlazersEdge loves the Blazers.  Neither of the two games so far were decided by bad officiating.  Get over it.

I hereby request that grungedave or BringBackNovak or someone else invoke a No More Official Bitching Rule.

Just a thought.

No cursing in title. No pirated material, such as links to online game streams. Do not cut/paste entire sections of content from other websites. Thanks.

thats funny, i was going to say something similar on the Edge

Rockets win, blazer fan whines, rockets fan says “stop bitching babies, you dont even know how bad yao gets jobbed”. Blazers win, rocket fan whines, blazer fan says “stop bitching babies, blazers young players get no respect from refs, you dont even know”. International refs, especially at the olympics showed me how flawed our game is officiated. still love it

I agree

I figured we Rocket fans would have more class than Portland when it came to losing and trying to blame the refs. But we didn’t.

It was a fair game. Yes, there were missed calls and bogus calls made on both sides. Get over it, it happens all the time in the regular season as well.

good call

bitching about officials making bad calls is like saying the sky is blue.

Bravo from a Blazer fan

We had our fill with Rasheed Wallace’s constant complaints and don’t need to go back there. NBA games are hard to call and I think the refs do the best they can. Sometimes a player gets the benefit of the doubt; sometimes not, but that is irrelevant. The umpire in baseball may have people that don’t like his strike zone, but they’d best adjust or sit and stew—same to the NBA. If the officials have made the call, then get up and move on….

the calls in game wer appropiate I thought. the aggressive team controlling the game playing like men got the calls.

But there was some really weird calls in game 2. Bigs were collecting fouls like postage stamps. It may have actually helped us perhaps, because it appeared as if the refs were trying to dissuade unnecessary contact. But we were hit with some terrible calls early.

Two things about offical whining:

1. The Rockets missed 10 free throws in a game they lost by 4, they aren’t allowed to bitch
2. Bitching about the officials in a 4 point game >>>>>>>> Bitching about the officials in a 30 point blowout

HAHAHA

won’t happen.

My theory has always been “if the ref is crappy, play so damn good that the ref CANT decide the game”. Problem solved.

Of course, I’ll totally raz the ref at teh game and then lean over to my gf and tell her “actually that was a good call.” It’s just fun.

The goal is not to be better, the goal is to be the best.
