Congratulations Rockets fans.
By the way Battier is a gem and I even like Artest and have great respect for Yao. Brooks is a Duck like me so I like him. The only player you have that I don't like is Scola due to flopping and for no real concrete reason. Scola is a workhorse though and you have to respect his fundamental based game. All in all a great learning experience for my Blazers.
p.s. Just wait until Oden gets healthy and more skilled and we acquire a starting PG. Then we're coming for ya ;)
In the meantime go beat LA and get a ring. :)

No doubt, you guys just need to add and subtract some pieces.
You guys could really use a Scola type, even if you don’t like him. :) Trust me when he flops and doesn’t get the call we are not upset about it. We know he’s a euro-flopper, it hurts us more than it help us the majority of the time.
You sound like Mike Rice :-p
We know he’s a euro-flopper
Goodbye Deke. The NBA will miss Mt. Mutombo.
Who would you
subtract? Any suggestions on adds?
I know we need a lunchpail PF like Scola. I even suggested him in the off season last year as a guy to go after. That was before I learned to dislike him ;).
By the way I would give somebody else’s left arm for Battier that guy is nails. Absolutely postively love his game (he flops too on rare occasion but in a smart way), he is a Basketball genius.
Yao is a unique talent I’m glad to see him advance.
Now crush those Fakers!
"Death is not final," Gita says. "If any man thinks that he slays, and if another thinks that he is slain, neither knows the truth. The Eternal in man cannot kill: the Eternal in man cannot die. The soul in man is neither born nor does it die. Weapons cannot cut it; fire cannot burn it; water cannot drown it.

I love Scola. Yes he flops a little ( or a lot ) but so do a S@#$ ton of other players ( including a few of my blazers ).
I think Scola was the big difference in this series. He took LMA out of the early games, and nailed that elbow jumper with consistency to make us pay for doubling Yao.

Way to go Rox.
You played a great game, and since you are playing the L@kers next, you know I’ll be here cheering you guys in the second round!
My favorite teams are the Blazers and any team that is playing the Lakers.
Good luck in the future Blazers!!!
Except when it comes to playing the Rockets, of course!!! Now let’s go Rockets fans! Time to take out the fakers!!!
Thanks, Blazers for a great series.
Rare series where both teams were so evenly matched, yet both teams and fans genuinely respected each other. No trash talking, just leaving it up to the skills on the court.
Have always respected the Blazers, especially when our own Clyde the Glyde was playing there (except during those really down years).
Blazers are a piece away from getting to the next round. Perhaps if Oden developed into a Shaq type player, he could be the one, but definitely need someone better than Batum.
Batum had a rough series
but the guy has been a huge surprise for the Blazers this year. He is a defensive wizard and a pretty good range shooter. Give him a few years and he’ll be an elite defender in the league. Plus, the Blazers are going to get Martell back next year, who is a much better offensive player than Batum and much better defender than Outlaw. We really missed him in the series.
"Sasha? That's a sissy name." -Mike Rice
"Let's go to win the playoffs!!!" -Rudy Fernandez
beat the lakers!!!
good series. I tried to hate your team this past few weeks but I couldn’t. You have a lot of talent and likeable players. sure scola is a flopper and artest is a bit arrogant but you played your asses off and advanced. Destroy the Lakers for all of us in Portland!
P.S. Go Drexler!!! clyde the glide baby!
You stay classy Portland!
Well fought series! You should be proud of your team – they’re gonna be very scary, very soon.
