Hey Laker Fanboys!!

We'll miss you on here for the next couple of days. We know there's no way you'll even attempt to talk shit today after this asswhooping. Sorry we know you already had your posts written out about how bad L.A. would dominate a Yao-less Rockets team. Sorry, you must've forgot this team has HEART! Must be tough to recognize when you don't see if everyday. We'll of course forgive you, and be looking forward to your bullshit talking next game like this one never happened.

You suck.

Lakers got caught with their pants down

They expected an easy win I guess. Instead of taking control of this series like they should have with Yao out, they decided to be content with home court. Lack of commitment and heart on their part.

"The brownies,'' Fernandez said after the game. "The brownies are good for me to make three-points.''

I don’t buy it. We made some runs against them in game 3 with Yao out. Gasol is well aware of how Yao can be beat. Maybe a ninny like Odom wasn’t prepared, but the rest of the Lakers were. They just got beat.

no i agree, this was an embarrassing and disgraceful performance from the lakers. no excuses from this lakers fan. gg, houston showed alot of heart and poise today. hoping the lakers come to their senses and see this club isn’t going down without a fight and come with the passion to realize that this is the playoffs and you are playing for a championship. c yall in game 5.

Lets just hope they can keep this up. Hopefully Artest gets his touch back as well. Hopefully Odem is out again too ;)

BTW

This game showed me why Denver or Cleveland are gonna be the Champs this year. Lakers are still the reigning Chumps.

agreed with staylost

Lakers are still better than Nuggets or Cavs. Rockets also match up with Lakers better. I’d take Lakers over Nuggets or Cavs any day

I keep underestimating the Nuggets

But seriously, I see no way that they can take the Lakers past 5

haha series tied!!!!!!!!!!

what a bunch of losers, no killer instinct, guess you guys have to travel back to houston….. HAHAHA

The Lakers disgust me.

It’s just disgusting and embarrassing for them that they rolled over the way they did in a PLAYOFF game. They’ll just wait around for Kobe to bail them out, and while I still think there’s a slim chance the Rockets win this series – at least we’ll be playing like men, not a bunch of whining, crying, lazy, no-defense-playing ZERO playoff-intensity Lakers.

Absolutely disgusting.

by HoustonDiehards on May 10, 2009 7:08 PM CDT reply actions

i hate the laker mindset

on silver screen and roll they always talk about how there playing bad and that clevland or boston could beat them and they always speak as if this series is just a practice that they are only using to improve as if we dont have a shot

by houstonrockets1313 on May 10, 2009 8:44 PM CDT reply actions

you underestimate Laker fans.

I’ve already seen a couple of them on here talking shit…A town full of Luke Waltons, shit talkers without the game to back it up.

I was all ready with my post written out about how the Lakers would dominate

Damn, I’ll have to cut and paste and start writing my post about how the Lakers dominated Game 5 right now, and hope I can use it for later.

Dominating game 5

won’t undo what happened today. Today’s game was the last straw for outsiders still believing the Laker’s can win the championship. As either JVG or Mark Jackson said today (forgot which one said this), the Lakers expect to win the championship without getting into hand to hand combat, and they are just not good enough to win it all like that. The only Laker who put his body on the line today was Trevor Ariza.
And for all the taunting Kobe gave Battier in game 2, he’s lucky that Shane is such a nice guy for not reminding Kobe that he got outscored by 8 points by a guy who averaged 7 per game all season. Too much bark, not enough bite.

You are correct, but in all fairness

I think Gils K was just mocking the Robo-Bandwagon Fans that make those troll posts by saying they are all just copy cutter pieces.

Thanks!

I feel warm and fuzzy inside.

And yes I was making fun of the troll. I don’t actually write any posts about the game before the game.

There are very few brothers I'd say this about...

but Kobe is a whining, self-serving jackass.

Awesome post................

Congratulations on winning the 2009 NBA Championship!!! You guys really deserved it, you showed heart and determination. Oh wait…………….this was just one game…………….in the second round!!! Hmmm I must have misread the post. The only thing worse than a sore loser is a sore winner. I now know you are one, we will find out if you are both soon………….maybe. I don’t want to seem too confident!

Shit, Shit, Shit. Is that talking shit, cause I haven’t seen much here. I’ll assume it is.

None of you ever come over to SilverScreen and Roll and talk trash though, which is nice. Oh wait……

"you are a dick rider with no friends that hoops on site to site so you can talk to someone other then your dog! Stay off of dream shake! We dont need you! – HTOWNCYPRESSBOY"

"Rockets in 6 – HTOWNCYPRESSBOY"

I don’t even know what this next one means, but……..

"ya, go rockies, give LA and Kobel, they’re deserved. its gonna be likely 7 games. I so grateful for Rockets players. Yao’ out is did not effect for the guys. Kobel seemed tired, and other LA’ players. They do not trust each other, they thought they’re better than Ron, Shane, AB, and Chuck Hayes. Gazul can’t dominate against him, he’s only 6-6. – CHABU"

LOL……….picking on Luke Walton!!!! That’s funny, Rockets fans like him more than Laker fans, trust me. Go ahead, pick away.

"I’ve already seen a couple of them on here talking shit…A town full of Luke Waltons, shit talkers without the game to back it up."

I think this last guy was kidding, but still awfully nice………

"pslakersfan, I’m gonna slit your throat – RuudUnit"

If the Rockets win this series I will be the first one here to congratulate, but if not I will be the first one here to remind you about this "classy" post. Thankfully I notice that most of the "good guys" that I have noticed on Dream Shake haven’t commented on this thread just the ones that tend to troll elsewhere. Odd, I wonder why.

You actually spent time gathering qoutes and putting that together and still didn’t say one meaningful thing in the post.

by TheDream858 on May 10, 2009 11:17 PM CDT up reply actions

um...i left that post about luke walton but

i left it on the dream shake and not ssr. I only talk shit on my own team’s site. When I am elsewhere I merely argue the good points for my team, I don’t rub it in people’s faces on another team’s site. If you want to come here and get your feelings hurt, that’s your problem. But don’t quote me as if I placed it on the Laker’s blog. That’s not very “classy” now is it?

I’ve seen you around, ps, and I like you. You don’t trash talk other teams, you give credit where credit is due, and you assess your own team honestly. Kobe annoys the heck out of me, but I will freely admit that he’s the most talented and clutch player in the NBA today (yes, moreso than LeBron, at least for now).

Just wanted to give you some kudos for being a class act. It can’t be easy to be a fan of one of the most hated teams in the NBA, but dude, I’d love to have your problems! (Although my Spurs get plenty of hate, too, come to think of it.)

by Lauri on May 11, 2009 8:06 AM CDT up reply actions

There were 2 quotes in PSLakerFan's post I really liked...

His signature tag-line:
“Don’t I know you from somewhere?”.. “Nah, that ain’t me, I’m from Buffalo” – Axel Foley (Beverly Hills Cop for those too young to remember)

And:
“Rockets in 6” – HtownCypressBoy

Both are $$

Actually, Josh at SS&R had a really interesting idea...

There are some fans that like to talk trash with other fans. It can be fun. But it’s also a real pain in the ass for people that DON’T like to listen to 15 year olds vicariously measure the size of their reproductive organs vs. one another.

The proposed solution? A thread FOR trolls…

Those who like to chirp and those who like to flip off chirpers could have a perfectly fun little self-contained food fight, without soiling the rest of the house for the serious basketball fans.

Still just a thought, but one that might be worth considering…

Dammitt!!!

I want to go into the troll thread and talk junk. But after the ass-whuppin my boys took yesterday….I got nothing.

Ughh

Doesn’t Luke Walton make you want to hurl your pancakes from this morning? I’ve seen trash cans on Bourbon Street in New Orleans with more class (and game).

Hard to remember a game when we just coasted after the 1st quarter – great feeling.

by Rocketboy on May 11, 2009 12:48 PM CDT reply actions

Laker Fanboys

The way they operate is that they’ll only show up and talk shit when they win a game. When they lose, they lay low and comfort each other with numerous “why the lakers will win the next game” threads on their own forums.

Unfortunately for the faker fans, they won’t will another game this playoffs. kobewankenobe is once again an under achieving choker. How can Lebron be doing what he’s doing with his lowly roster while kobe with the best line up in basketball be struggling with an undermanned Rockets team? kobe is the all time greatest choker.
