Funny article from LA Times
Good to know that not all LA writing is biased. Not that it still doesnt really respect Houston, but good to know they have a sense of humor and they can make fun of their own team.

T.J. Simers is the best columnist in the Times. He's not a homer and he always
lets the home team have it when they screw up.

TJ Simers is a joke of a journalist who is trying to keep himself relevant to the LA writing community by being the “angry old man” and asking what he claims are “tough” questions but are actually just really antagonizing and cheap. I don’t recall hearing any reporters asking Yao or Adelman if they were “embarrassed” or telling them that they “should be embarrassed” after they got it handed to them in game 3. He does this to every team and athlete in LA (Dodgers, Lakers, Clips, Angels, kings, etc….), even going so far as to calling them names to get a rise out of them. Everyone in LA knows this and the only reason the LA Times keeps him around is because people don’t like him and as a result people write the Times and it keeps them somewhat relevant. If you’re in LA like I’ve read you claim, you’d know that.
What I do know is that you hate the Lakers and you’re bandwagoning on any site that you can to bad mouth the Lakers. Pretty pathetic, actually.

all he said was that he enjoyed the article...
How does that make him a hater? Chill man.

bandwagoning?
hes a member of 3 sites. if you notice, most of us are fans of basketball in general, so we like to join other teams blogs to post on their websites. get a clue and stop claiming to pick out trollers when you yourself are close to being.

why would someone ask if the Rockets were embarrassed after game 3?
it was 6p game w/ 4 minutes left. they didnt get blown out by an underhanded team when everyone thought they were gonna win. Simers’s question was a legitamate one.
You're not foolin me Kerry Collins.

Yes, yes. And then they gacked it at the end and lost by 14. Don’t be an idiot. The point I was making is that Houston reporters didn’t attack their own coach for a loss and ask antagonizing questions in the press conference after. His writing is not indicative of a “fair reporter”. If you read the LA Times (and if you did you’d be one of the very few who still do) you’d know that.

Well...
Maybe they should? Personally I’d like my coaches and players to be held accountable when they don’t play with a desire to win a game. I also wouldn’t mind them being attacked by a reporter when they try to shrug off a loss such as the one we’re talking about, but that’s just me.

I agree. There’s no reason coaches and players shouldn’t be questioned and held accountable after bad games. But there has to be a line of decorum. Honestly, if you just came off of a humbling defeat and a reporter is asking you mockingly “Aren’t you embarrassed?”, “As the coach you should be embarrassed.”, is that a genuine question or is that someone antagonizing someone else to get a rise out of them? Ask a serious question about missed assignments or a percieved lack of emotion or interest during the game by your team. There’s other ways to do it besides “reporters” making themselves like paparrazzi harassing movie stars.

He’s a “hater” in the sense that he’s on Celticsblog, The Dream Shake and if the Lakers get by Houston, he’ll be on the Nuggets blogspot. He’s not repping any team, he’s basically bandwagoning any site so he can hate. It’s pretty pathetic and he knows it.
Somehow I don’t think you’re going to be on the Nuggets site repping them if we get by you. You’re a Rocket fan, not a Laker hater.

Whoa there little DJ, I'm a basketball fan. I happen to live in LA and I moved here from
NY. I was raised in Boston and love the Celtics. I admire the Rockets because they are a class organization that puts out a hell of a product. I’m not a huge Artest fan but he can play ball.
What gives with all your hate? When I’ve posted Lakers fans have no class I must have had you in mind. Everyone in LA is such a bunch of homers it’s actually great to have someone like Simers put it to them.
And if it makes you feel better, I like the Magic and the Cavs. I’ll go on any site that I wish and post positive comments on those sites. I don’t go to Lakers sites and rag there, what would the point be?
Maybe you can tell me because I can tell that’s what you do here. By the way, I’m also a Clipper STH so you can check me out on Clips Nation and Clipper Blog. Feel free to post your dirvel there. Everyone will appreciate it.

Exactly
I’m a Laker HATER, but I don’t feel any need to go to their fan site and talk shit. I just to it here if their fans come here. LOL. Congrats to the Clippers for landing Baron. He had an off year, but he’ll pick it up. Boy do we miss him on the Warriors.

Yeah, what's up with DJ (stealing my favorite Celtic of all times initails)? Why can't
basketball fans appreciate the quality product coming out of Houston? I mean, I really love thier team. Because I live in LA I’m supposed to keep blinders on? I don’t think so. When I went on the Celtics site I said I’ve been gone a long time am I welcome back and the all said hell yeah come on in and enjoy the games.
Besides I actually liked the Lakers when they had Shaq. When Shaq left and Kobe took over the team plain sucked. Kobe has absolute zero leadership skills, and Jackson is the luckiest guy alive. O.k. so I really don’t like them at all. Why would I go over to their site when I wouldn’t agree with one thing they say?
I guess your in Golden State, be thankfull you don’t live in LA and have to put up with Laker fans.
by eastie Rich on May 11, 2009 9:40 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
But I gotta put up with the bandwagon annoying fans here in the bay area though
That’s just one of the many upon many reasons I don’t want them winning the title.

No, you’re a Laker hater because if I’m not mistaken, isn’t your team the Magic? But you’re on a Rocket website dogging the Lakers? Because you “like the Rockets style of play”? Pathetic. An idiot who had never even thought about the Rockets but because he has a hard-on for LA, NOW he’s a fan of the Rockets style? And then the Rocket fans are stupid enough to buy in to it? Even more pathetic.
Famous quote time people. You should remember it when you think of how you feel about LA and how we see the rest of you.
“Success makes so many people hate you. I wish it wasn’t that way. It would be wonderful to enjoy success without seeing envy in the eyes of those around you.”

Dj what's up with you really? People from around the league like Houston so they come on
the Rockets site and say so. Why do you come on over and over again and just say “you hate the lakers you hate this you hate that?” What’s up with your attitude? If your wondering why people don’t like the Lakers, please just look at yourself. We don’t go around posting negative stuff.
I mean everyones got a right to their opinion. Even people who like teams that play the Lakers.
By the way, in the list of teams I like I didn’t include the Nuggets. I’ve never cared for them either way, but they sure have improved since they got Billups.
Cool out man, your leaving your droppings all over the place.

Where'd DJ go? He throws his shi* around then departs. Well I guess that's to
be expected.
Out of curiousity. Since that idiot brought it up, does any Houston fan have a problem with me supporting your team? It’s a great team, I love your style and effort. I’ve been a Houston fan for a long time. Who doesn’t like Yao, McGrady, Artest, Brooks, Landry, and Battier? You’ve got alot of quality guys and a good enough coach to keep the team playing hard and a smart enough owner to put it together.

It's cool
Don’t forget Morey on your list of positives…
Lately, there have been lots of fans from around the league posting their support (newfound or otherwise) for Houston. I think that Houston fans welcome it because these people usually support the Rockets for sound, basketball-savvy reasons and not JUST because they’re up against a team they dislike – though this is as valid a reason as any, really.

I welcome bandwaggoners
I appreciate it when they actually become knowlegeable of the team, and it appears you have done that

I'm a fan of good basketball. Pretty simple, and the Rockets play Great Basketball! I'm not
provincial. I can appreciate it where it happens. Let me say I hope you beat the Lakers and if (because you are short handed) if you make it to the finals I’ll be pulling for you there. Go Rockets!
