WWE VS DENVER NUGGETS

SO the Nuggets forgot they gave the building to the WWE on Monday night. OOPS! As a basketball fan in houston, there isn't much coverage on this situation. Apparently neither the NBA or Vinny Mac are willing to back down. The Nuggs front office is taking a hit on ESPN for not having enough faith in their team to go long in the playoffs. Vinny Mac went on ESPN saying that it was bad buisness and that they were basically thrown out on their ear. They even had to sign a confirmation sheet on the last day of the season.(Vince even said he would set up and do the show in the parking lot if he had to). I think K-Mart and John Cena should have a steel cage match to decide. I put this up at PA&R and have gotten some interesting poll results. GO ROCKETS!

Poll
What should be the plan of action? Both events are scheduled for a live show at the same time.
Honor the contract. Let the WWE have their show. Have the game earlier in the day

Payoff Vince. Have him do his show earlier in the day

KOBE AND MELO SMACKDOWN.....

i think the situation is pretty funny and f’ed up at the same time, however i think the better choice would be to let the wwe fighters suit up and play basketball and let the nba players wrestle the crap out of each other, lol.-
ok ok on a serious note, because this is a serious matter, i would love it if vince did set up shop out in the parking lot, that’s a pretty cool idea, and it may be the only option they have because if you play the game earlier in the day, all the people have to"be sick" for work or school, the networks showing the game would have to rearrange the traffic of their programming, send the camera crews in early as well as the commentators…wwe is not live is it? humm…i wonder

It's a holiday, so school and work shouldn't be that big of a problem

But both shows are set for a live brodcast at the same time. I would be shocked if the NBA game was played over the WWE. Mainly because of contract obligations. I personally stopped watching WWE about 15 years ago, but my kids have me watching again. I will have to admit that it’s not as good as i remember. Long live the birdman Koko B Ware!

Really?
I would be shocked if the NBA game was played over the WWE

Im the complete opposite. The NBA is a much bigger organization with much more strength. There are other venues that can hold the WWE event, but not others that can/would hold the NBA game. The Nuggets owner is a dumbass of signing the contract, but he also has a longer, more important contract to hold Nuggets games when the NBA tells him to. The Pepsi Center has a contract with the NBA to hold games that was signed long before the WWE contract was signed.

The precedent has already been set to move a playoff game though. One of the Washington-Pittsburgh NHL games was moved to make it a back to back due to a Yanni concert in Pittsburgh’s arena. But thats the NHL and there are plenty of things wrong with it, unlike the NBA. The NBA also has a contract with ESPN and TNT to not hold conference finals games on the same night, and changing the date of the game would cause the Cle-Orl series to be changed as well.

I was hoping

for a cage match between Vince McMahon and David Stern.

not right

WWE had the date first…WWE should not have to move it…if Stern asked Mcmahon to move it and Vince said yes, then its ok…but NBA cant plan games when other events are going on…in the NHL this year, the Pens Caps series had 2 games back-to-back bcz the next day in PIT there was a concert scheduled a long time b4..u gotta deal withit, work around it…if im vince im pissed…not right that the nba can do that…

The NBA playoffs schedule is set pretty early

Not sure if it’s set before the season or not though

WWE should show community spirit

and move, man! Do they want the city of Denver and NBA fans to be mad at them?
