The official "suspend kobe now" thread
Seriously... How can you avoid it at this point? You cannot elbow-punch people in the head or throat and get off scott-free like kobe has so far. Dwight was suspended, Alston will be, Derek and Ron may also sit next game. Grow some stones NBA. This isn't wrestling, and by that I mean that this sport should have some integrity. If Kobe isn't suspended, the NBA is just a ratings whore feeding the coasts on the Kobe and James teets... No better than the commish throwing a chair in the ring for Kobe to belt someone with while the inept officials bubble around like morons....
No cursing in title. No pirated material, such as links to online game streams. Do not cut/paste entire sections of content from other websites. Thanks.

I don’t see either Ron or Kobe being suspended for the next game. Ron won’t be because all he did was talk, and it was rightfully provoked in my opinion. Hell, Kobe should consider himself lucky Ron didn’t Palace out on him. He’s fucking lucky Ron’s matured, or words wouldn’t have been all he was throwing around.
As for Kobe being suspended, it ain’t gonna happen. 1) He’s the poster boy Kobe Bryant, and 2) the league rarely suspends players for stuff that isn’t called in the game. Maybe if it was called (like it SHOULD have been) and a T was on it, MAYBE, but not since he got away scot free.

Throw dem bows.
Yao should have saved that elbow on Lowery for Kobe friday.

What? You mean like the Fisher play that has all of you guys going crazy? Wouldn’t that be “dirty play”? We wouldn’t want that!
I thought that Derek was just playing tough... Nothing malicious, not like throwing a punch anyway. I mean, Scola is twice his size after all. I would have leaned in to it too... I have respect for him... My beef is with Bryant

I think the maliciousness was when he peered over his shoulder and seemed to rev up for it.
Nothing wrong with a hard pick or running through it, but winding up to clock somebody could be seen differently.

yea
he clearly saw scola comin. he cant use tha “i didnt see him” excuse
You're not foolin me Kerry Collins.
You're right, I'm sorry......
Yao would never do that any way……..Von Wafer should have done it. If you’re gonna get yourself thrown out of the game you might as well take one for the team……….Ok, that too was wrong, but damn that would have made the papers.

The league is reviewing ALL of thes T’s according to the radio post game… I know it is unlikely, but it would be the right thing to do… If it doesn’t happen it just sends a message to the people in Houston, New Orleans, Memphis, etc.: If you aren’t a major market with Marquee players, you need not apply, because the rules are different for you. Get big ratings (in lue of win) or go home. Follow the money. Maybe i’m letting my emotions get the best of me, but cut me some slack… Afterall, i have had to stay up till past midnight in order to make this work for the westcoast and the network, lol. Nevermind that I’m dying of the damn swine flu, or maybe it’s just the uphill battle making me wanna puke, or the fact that we had Crawford in 2 consecutive game 2’s ;)
I have such an appreciation for Portland now and I know they would be going through the same BS if they had advanced… I have no respect for Kobe as a person any longer… After watching how he handled himself in the olypics, i thought i may have misjudged him, but he’s just the most talented douche bag to ever moisten the court… I’m just sayin’ lol!
Recap
Recap sais " Artest was sent off the court by referee Joe Crawford with 6:57 remaining in the game after he pointed across the court at Bryant and made a gesture near his throat. Artest complained that he was elbowed in the throat by Bryant under the basket.
and “Moments later, Fisher was called for a flagrant foul when he collided with Scola as the Rockets brought the ball up the court.”
Its not like they cant watch the game and actually report what happend
ASIF not write about how kobe elbowed artest, like the replay showed
just recap about how artest complains about it =.=" and
WTF is this “Collided”
More like shoulder tackled, with an elbow and he also got Scola when he was unprepared coming up for a screen.
Hopefully we get some closure for all that happend
but im still happy with rockets taking game one
GO ROCKETS FOR GAME 3
Rockets FTW
kOBE SHOULD NOT BE SUSPENDED
Not like it would happen anyway. Its the NBA, remember, its Where Amazing Happens. As in Amazing how some teams are treated by the league.
kobe’s elbow was not intentional. Atleast not intentionally to the throat. kobe could not see where artest’s head was. It was a fluid arm motion and his elbow happened to catch Ron’s throat.
Game 1 100-92 Rockets
Game 2 111-98 lakers
Series Tied 1-1
I disagree, but pretend I'm cool with that for the Ron situation, BUT
what about the elbow to the back of Shane’s head? You gonna call that an accident too?

kobe
Wait a second, the replay CLEARLY shows that thug, Artest all over Kobe, It’s friggin’ playoff basketball you pussy!!! Typical getto play…..
Go read the fanpost titled Kobe, David Stern & Suspension
It quotes Stern on the Howard suspension for his elbow, and by his quote, kobe should be suspended.
Go On. Read. Its Interesting.
Game 1 100-92 Rockets
Game 2 111-98 lakers

NBA Rule Book
Just to add to the Kobe must be punished.
Rule 12A—Section V
k. A technical foul, unsportsmanlike act
or flagrant foul must be called for a
participant to be ejected.A player, coach
or trainer may be ejected for:
(1) An elbow foul which makes contact
shoulder level or below
OK so was it in the chest
Seems even some Rocket fans have seen the other angle and belive Kobe hit Ron’s chest, but what about the Battier play? Something has to be done…
Kobe will not be suspended and neither will Ron.
Fisher however might as well get a plane ticket for Saturday because he will not be playing on Friday. It was obvious intent and he is not a star which equals suspension.
People keep talking about Kobe elbow on Shane in game 1 as well. What about the double knee shots he threw before the elbow:
Nice post...
I think you are spot on… One thing about your flight comment for Fisher though: If I had to bet, I would say he (unlike a particular Rocket) will travel with the team and support them from the sidelines if he can.
