I'm not sure how this would work out but...
What are the realities of making a trade with Boston for Rondo and Allen? Could we make that work? Would we want to make that work?
I know Allen got cold in the second round this year but he's arguably the greatest shooter ever in the NBA and Rondo showed alot of promise by almost averaging a triple double in the playoffs.
I for one think that would be a steal if we could make it work but who do we give up?
McGrady? Brooks? Landry? Hayes?
I'm not too up to snuff on this kind of stuff so I thought I'd see what the our pulse is on a deal like this.
No cursing in title. No pirated material, such as links to online game streams. Do not cut/paste entire sections of content from other websites. Thanks.

The same thing you would have to give up for any other best shooter in the NBA and point guard who average a triple double, i.e., more than we can give. You obviously seem to have a very high opinion of Allen and Rondo. What makes you think the Celtics don’t?

Because when they offered them to Detroit
They wanted a young (but unproven) Stuckey, a declining (plus expensive contract) Hamilton and a solid (but Battier-esque) Prince (with more offense than a Battier).
We should NOT give up Landry in this deal. Maybe just T-Mac, Brooks and Hayes or Dorsey plus one of those 2nd rounders would get it done.
Thoughts?

Uh oops
My bad on the mis-sight of Rip. I guess I took the whole team’s slide into account instead of looking at the individual numbers themselves. And Rip’s been pretty consistent. Don’t just look at games played I guess is what I’m saying.
Honestly, you can put a large number of guys around Yao Ming and watch their games grow. Rip would kill teams doubling Yao, and Ray Allen would be the 3-point leader by seasons end (with good health) on a team with the Great Wall. I guess it depends really on how much Morey wants to be a player in the 2010 free agency sweepstakes. You can either be like San Antonio and Orlando, and take guys who will take you basically out of play for 2010 free agency, or you can be like Cleveland and New Jersey, who will have cap space to get 1-2 superstars potentially.
My fault guys, I didn’t do my homework on Rip.
