Yes, this is the Rafer Alston I remember!
Rafer Alston... a bad Game 1 in the NBA Finals. Immediately followed by an even worse Game 2.
1-8 FG (0-4 3-pt FG), 4 points, 1 rebound, 5 assists in 26 minutes.
Another "L" for his team.

No, this was not the shot he made.
Yup, Rafer is back to sucking.
Now that he's no longer on my team I can finally smile about it.
UPDATE: Rafer, quit being a d--k about it. Don't blame your coach for you being unable to put the ball in the hole. That's just weak.

I really, really want to take part in this bit of schadenfreude. I just wish he isn’t sabotaging a team I like.

well
That’s the only part that bugs me. I like Orlando a lot. I just like watching Kobe Bryant win more.

I think they have pills for that now, Dave
you don’t have to live your life like this. Kobe fandom is a treatable illness, and most sufferers can go on to live healthy, productive lives if they seek help.
Anyways, yes this is hilarious. While this could be easily attributed to just having a typical game for Rafer, Simmons argued after the first game that part of it is that he’s pouting about Jameer.

Rafer will be Rafer
Now that order has been restored to the universe. I am looking for Morey to make another great trade.

One question
When will Spike Lee release his next documentary: Rafer Doin’ Sabotage?
It would go like this:
“On this play, Coach wants me to get this entry pass into Dwight, but I’m 4-12, so I’m due, right? I’d never shoot 4-13. Plus, it’s crunch time, which is when Rafer shines.”
“I hate all these plays and stuff. Back with the Idaho Stampede, they just let me do what I do.”
“It’s important on the fast break to let the other team catch up. What’s fun about scoring easily?”
“Jameer who?”
How many Biletnikoffs does he have? NOT TWO!

"I've learned that the key to winning is operating as a team"
(Cut to Rafer cornering Courtney Lee in practice)
“I told you before, you gimp mothafucka, if you don’t pass to me when I say ‘OPEN!!!,’ you’re going to find out why Yao really breaks his feet!”
(Cut to Rafer in the game)
“Alright. Rafer Maneuver! Rafer Maneuver!”
(Teammates clear out; Rafer throws up a floater in the lane; it misses wildly)
(Voiceover): Another key is to keep trying until you succeed.

I almost feel bad for Rafer
How do you air-ball a wide open three?
"It’s important on the fast break to let the other team catch up. What’s fun about scoring easily?"
