Rockets Have Interest in Gortat
It's Hoopsworld, so take it with a grain of salt. That said, this report is certainly believable.

Tom,
That’s the link about Rubio visiting the Grizzlies.

I don't think
we stand a chance of getting Gortat as a backup. Morey would ony deal for him if it was a solid move in our direction. Sounds like he’s going stick with the Magic or get overpaid to start somewhere like Sacramento.

I think he'll be asking for a lot.
And I’ve also heard that he wants to start. Which, uh, won’t be happening in Houston.

Well you know how Yao is
God forbid he gets injured again, Gortat would see a lot of minutes.

Correct.
but it’s probably not worth because he’s going to get overpaid by a shitty organization to start. The only way I could see him coming to us for a reasonable contract would be at the possibility of winning a championship, but even then he’s really too young to be thinking that way.

Gortat would be nice
But he has made himself overpriced with his recent performance, Jerome James style. There is no way we could sign him and keep Wafer
