Yao will have surgery.
Yao has confirmed that he will undergo surgery (as you might remember, one of his options was simply to continue his current treatment).
However, Yao doesn't know what type of surgery he'll have. That decision will determine whether or not he's out for an entire year or simply a few months.

Yao should rest....
Guy needs a year off. Let him rest up and then finish his Hall of Fame career. Oh yeah, and win a few titles along the way.
