What's Left!

I was just looking over the free agent big men and noticed that there is not much talent left. Not one player jumped out at me as a good fit. The best left overs were Drew Gooden, Channing Frye (I think he just resigned with the Suns), Chris Wilcox, and Antonio McDyess. If I had to choose between the four it would have to be Drew Gooden, but that would be for a one or two year deal and not more than $3 million a year. I thought about Big Baby also, but he is the same size as Scola and Landry. I wanted to get your thoughts on who the Rockets should sign to play center this year.

No cursing in title. No pirated material, such as links to online game streams. Thanks.

I believe Morey said

that he was going to assess the issue through trading, but was also looking into signing a new free agent in the next week or 2. I’m assuming he must be signing a guard because those are somewhat contradictory statements to make.

I remeber him saying both comments

McDyess signed with the Spurs, missed that one somehow.

As I recall

the idea was to get a starter via trade and a backup via free agency

Is Brad Miller avalible?

Beside Gortat, Brad was my favorite center I though the Rockets should sign. He is a gritty player as anyone who watch the Bulls-Celtics series would know and I think he would fit in nicely

OH NO Antonio!!!

I think Antonio McDyess would have been perfect for a gritty Rockets center but it is no longer possible. Chris Wilcox is about the last center still available and I don’t know him well – does he have the toughness to get it done?
