I’m surprised Channing Frye was never on the Rockets radar. Cheap, reasonably athletic center/forwards are tough to find.

He'll never be a true center in this league.

Landry and Hayes are better in the post than Frye. He’s a jump-shooting big man…and that’s it. He literally takes jump-shots all the time.

About this comment on Dorsey

“Joey Dorsey was strong inside for the Rockets, finishing with 8 points and 12 rebounds and 2 thunderous dunks, though his skill level doesn’t appear to have developed a great deal from college.”

Well, duh. He hasn’t really played that much since college.

12 rebounds is still a very nice number for our defense. I’m pretty sure Morey is looking for defensive output from the backup center spot, which is probably what Dorsey would fulfill.
