Let's Make A Deal

What do you think of doing a straight up sign and trade of Marcin Gortat for Shane Battier. It would help both teams immensely. The Rockets get a young talented starting center who actually plays every game. The Magic get a veteran starting SF in Shane Battier. Plus you make room on the roster for Trevor Ariza to play the 3 and flourish.

Oh and thanks for hosing the Magic with that Rafer Alston deal. WHY CAN'T HE MAKE THE WIDE OPEN 3!!!!!  Although I do love him for giving me a great icon for my handle

No cursing in title. No pirated material, such as links to online game streams. Thanks.

1) It wouldn’t be a sign-and-trade
2) Should the Magic match Dallas’ offer, Gortat can’t be traded until December.
3) No way, Shane’s worth more than that.
4) Rafer can’t hit open threes because he’s awful.

Really? I read somewhere that they were looking to match the offer and trade him right away.

Cuban puts his money where his mouth is:

Morey must not have what it takes to make Cuban wheel and deal with Houston
besides they are in our division, and why would they trade gortat for shane?
we had our chance when Morey knocked on Gortat’s door the night of free agency.
Then he showed up with a Rockets jersey already printed with his name on the back at the magic’s practice facilities the next day.
OK NEXT ..!!!!! SECURITY!!!!

You forgot to mention

Alston can make a layup in traffic either!!!!!

"It's who we are," Battier said. "I don't think we're going to get the love of the six foot blonde bombshell. That's what the Lakers are here for. It's alright, I like our demographic."

Oh I am all too familar with that lol

He can get to the rim no prob but then doesn’t quite know what to do with it then.

If my trade were to happen the Rockets would have a great young team. With cap
room for ’10.

PG Brooks
SG – ?
SF – Ariza
PF – Scola
C – Gortat
-
—————————-
Who knows Roy looks like he’s having trouble in Portland maybe you could land
him in ’10?

Gortat...

He’s a good backup center being that he’s 7 feet; but he’s not a scoring a threat, and I think we all need to keep in mind, since the arrival of Yao here, a great portion of our offensive game is scoring in the paint; So if we were to get Gortat, There would still not be a low-post scoring threat, that we so desperately need. And as far as being healthy, well i’m still and always will be a huge fan of YAO and T-Mac, because injuries sometimes are just freak accidents, and that could happen to anyone. So what happens if Gortat gets injured; are we going to trash him too. I think we should all show support for YAO and T-Mac through the good times and bad.
