Houston Rockets 2002-2009.

So when Yao Ming was drafted in 2002, people expected great things. I'm sure they didn't actually believe a championship the very first year. But somewhere along the line, they wanted and expected a trophy. In the past few years, through many bumps and troubles, we've come close, but never quite got close enough.

In quite a few posts, I see people blaming the players, the coach, and sometimes even the GM for their shortcomings. They all have some sense in their talk, but in the end, it's all just bull.
1. The players work their asses off, well the majority of the players. You can't blame Yao or Tracy, because they're the ones that made us a legit threat in the league. Without them, we'd be a subpar team. Injuries happen and that's just life. The players are what the fans come to watch. If we blame the players, why watch them or be a fan?

2. I have some criticisms of Adelman but I think the things he's accomplished with this team overshadows what he hasn't done.

3. I don't think Daryl Morey has made a cruicial mistake. He's been right on the dot with his prospects and trades. Can you blame him for getting probably the best team possible to surround Yao and Tracy considering how much salary they take up? Can you blame him for Tracy being injured, then Yao getting injured? Can you blame him for the remaining players to get eliminated in 7 games in the 2nd round by the eventual champions?

So anyways, whose to blame for the Rockets "underachieving" by not getting the trophy? No one. We as fans, should not point fingers at our organization or at anyone else for that matter. We as fans, should continue watching them and supporting them, no matter whose playing, whose coaching, or whose the gm. It doesn't matter if we're winning or we're losing. Maybe you'll call me a fan that has no brain. But maybe you're just a fan that has no heart? That was some deep sh--.

this past season was a success.

getting past the first round got a monkey off of the shoulders. now to expect a title, that’s retarded, and unreasonable from the same year.

13 points in 39 seconds. Enough said.

In This Economy So Who is to blame: The GM & The Owner

A Real Fan Will disagree and blame someone whether its a Player, the Coach, The Organization, etc.
The truth is that morey had ample time to find us a center when yao went down the first time,So it happens again this post season with yao going down, then here comes T-Mac
like everytime this guy contracts are about up this cat becomes or stays hurt.
Now Talk about not getting your money worth from a player who doesnt seem to have it anymore.
All this picking guys up for cheap is cool but its not good when you steady come up with the same results year after year.
We keep Watching our divisional foes build their teams right in front of our eyes
and you wonder why the Rockets keep touching the shit end of the stick.
its only going to get worst..No Center, No Shooting threats, and a coach who doesnt know how to rotate his players when needed to do so.

i mean come on just lookin at Yao i always said to myself this guy isnt gonna stay healthy n look wats been happening i was hoping morey wouldve gotten center years ago when we had a chance to win one but for his misstakes we as fans have 2 go another year kicked out the playoffs!!! he should of known this might happen to yao that we needed a solid back up center for along time. and know i here were gonna trade players for a player we should’ve had or have the position filled if something happend but know we have a good team all we’re missin is da center we should have!!!!!! Morey u got all these good player for cheap, but wheres da center been needing!!!!

Either way, next year's team will be easy to get around

They’re going to be a team about hustle and heart. That alone will be good enough to get them into the playoffs. Teams that play defense, share the ball and hustle are always favorites by teams. Yes, they don’t have that marquee star out there, but they have guys who are known around the league (Battier, Scola, Brooks, Ariza) so look out next year for Houston.

Get well soon Great Wall!

In Daryl Morey, Rick Smith and Ed Wade we (usually) trust.
