Interview w/ David Andersen. Highlights:
1) Andersen and the interviewer greet one another with "G'day." I love it when foreigners confirm my stereotypes. I hope Andersen knows how to play knifey-spooney.
2) Andersen plans on coming to Houston some time in the next ten days to sign a contract. I can't wait for training camp to start.
3) The interviewer suggests David needs a "forty-gallon hat," which is pretty impressive when you think about it.
4) Andersen seems to know Houston is relatively warm (though Houston's reputation does not do the weather justice), but "it's near the seaside." Oh, you poor naive man.
Just as a comparison:
A beach in Victoria, Australia (Andersen's home province/state/thingy)
Galveston.
Yeah, uh... The "seaside" in East Texas doesn't mean quite what it does in Australia, David. The good news is that if you're into that sort of thing, Corpus Christi isn't too far away.
5) He's into skeet shooting. Good news, David! You might not be aware of this, but Texas is kinda fond of guns, too.
6) He's taking a bit of a pay cut in coming over to the NBA. I wonder if it was just a minutes issue that kept him out of Atlanta.

Great Interview
Smart, team player, skilled, hard working, humble, proven winner, and excited to be a part of the Rockets. A perfect fit for the Morey style of player…and it really isn’t about the money. Wow, haven’t heard that in a while. I like him already. :)
Also heard that Scola is thrilled about the trade and is a big fan of Anderson from his time in the Euro League.
