Tracy McGrady for the Sixers Dalembert and Green?

Theres an interesting an article at this website http://www.cantstopthebleeding.com/?p=17913

This talks about trading T-Mac to the 76ers for Center Samuel Dalembert and Guard Willie Green. We know the Rockets are in desperate need of a backup center for Yao and maybe even a starter if Yao could possibly be out for the beginning of the season so what do yall think of this deal. It would also give us an experienced  shooting guard in Green.  Personally Im not really sure about how I feel about this trade, mostly because Im one of the few that would like to see what Tracy McGrady could do coming back from rehab. Nonetheless, I am not the Rockets GM and I trust Morey will make the right decision on what to do with Mac.

A few stats about these players

Career Totals:

Samuel Dalembert :  8.1 pts / 8.1 reb / 2.0 blks / 52.4% FG shooting

Willie Green : 9.5 pts / 1.7 assists / 41.6% FG shooting

Greens werent that impressive ( I left out the 1 steal a game and 73% FT shooting...) but its not like we could have gotten Igoudala....either way I think after finishing this post that I am leaning towards a NO for this trade but what do yall think??

And heres a picture for laughs.....

Dalembert had some badass hair didnt he??

No cursing in title. No pirated material, such as links to online game streams. Do not cut/paste entire sections of content from other websites. Thanks.

eddy curry and mobley

seems better than this. simply because we’ll get more money from their expiring contracts. mobley is already in retirement anyway

I don't think the deal would work under the cap

Dalembert + Green= $14m while McGrady is at 23m, and I don’t think Philly is under the cap for next year.

The Rockets have a ton of trade exceptions.

Probably not quite enough to make that happen though

Luckily Daryl Morey isn’t crazy anyway and isn’t doing this

The only trades that make sense

Either get us a young, talented potential future All-Star or a pure salary dump that gets us a few useful players on one year contracts. I can’t really see the latter being feasible, so let’s focus on the former:

One name that comes to mind is Monte Ellis in a trade with GS, and I think we would be able to pry him away quite easily. His contract is large but not cumbersome, and I really think he’s going to be a star for many years. Last year was basically a lost year with his injury, but as he improves his jump shot, he’s going to be one of the top PG’s in the league.

Trading for Amare has been throw out, but I don’t think he’d be a great fit with Yao when/if he’s healthy again.

Any other thoughts for potential targets?

What about

Dalembert and Thaddeus Young? That would be more tempting to me. They would have to throw in some players to make the salary work.

That wouldn't be a bad trade for us

But why would Philly pull the trigger on that? Trade their most promising young player in a salary dump? Doesn’t really make a lot of sense

They said..

that they would not offer Young in this deal if they were to do it..

Were gonna need Igoudala now..

Ron Artest deciding to sign with the Lakers is very disappointing… now we officially dont have any of our “big three” starting for the 09-10 Season….
