Quick simple trade question for ya'll.

Hi there, I was here a bit during the Houston vs. Portland series and came away from it a HUGE Battier fan. I've been floating alot of trade ideas to get him on a Blazers board and have been utterly lambasted for it. People claimed I was making a monumental error and massively undervaluing one of our players. So here is the trade. You can dress it up with filler and throw ins but here is the essence. Portland trades Joel Przybilla for Shane Battier. Now mind you the Portland fans called me numerous bad names and said I was an idiot. I have confidence you all will do the same in reverse. Gentlemen let 'er rip. Would you do this trade?

Hehe

Sorry I’m not a big Pryzbilla fan. If you guys tossed Outlaw and Fernandez for Battier, personally I would do it.

word of advice:

don’t come around to an opposing fan site and talk about how they’re going to trade their good players to your team for shit.

Hmmm...idiot reversed is... toidi

Battier value >> Pryzbilla’s value. You can take Battier, but we want Travis Outlaw AND Rudy Fernandez. As a consolation prize, you can take back Bryan Cook’s bad (expiring) deal and Brent Barry’s said 1 year deal as well.

That’s how much we value our ‘no-stats’ all-star.

In Daryl Morey, Rick Smith and Ed Wade we (usually) trust.

No, while it's not as terrible of a trade as some make it out to be

It’s pretty awful for the Rockets. Shane’s value is MUCH higher than that. Przy is a good player and a solid starter in the NBA, but he’s 60% of the player Battier is

if they sent pryz with outlaw and batum, maybe

13 points in 39 seconds. Enough said.

Duhoh..

that would be rediculously bad for portland. Przybilla was voted our “non Roy” MVP, without him, we would have been nowhere considering Oden couldn’t stay on the court. And Batum has so much potential, i would bet most Blazers fans wouldnt even trade Batum for Battier.

Although i would love to thin out the roster a bit and ship over Outlaw and/or Fernandez for Battier.
