Boozer trade update
The Rockets, who were rumored to be in dicussions of a three-team trade involving Carlos Boozer, have no interest in the big man.

That shuts down that crazy rumor
No cursing in title. No pirated material, such as links to online game streams. Thanks.

Well,
it was basically made up by some radio station in Chicago, from what I heard. Or, at the very least, Houston was merely included in the rumor, and wasn’t really in anything serious.
Bonus: they get all pissed off that Houston won’t do their stupid trade.

LANDRY, not Laundry is >> Tyrus Thomas
Don’t give me that stats thing, because every time Carl Landry seems to be peaking, something freakish happens to him. His rookie year he hurts his knee during The Streak. Last year he had a huge game vs the New Orleans gnats (err…Hornets), and then got shot in the calf. I’d love to see Tyrus Thomas go through that kind of adversity.
The trade was actually Battier/Landry to Utah, Boozer to Chicago, and Fasenko/Jerome James/Tyrus Thomas to Houston. I can definitely see why we WOULDN’T do this trade.

The "stats thing"
would say that Landry is better than Thomas, too. For one thing, he’s much cheaper. But besides that, we can look at his numbers and see that Landry is just flat-out better. In about six fewer minutes per game, Landry has (going by B-Ref’s win shares system) added a little more than one win across a season.
Basically, Landry and Thomas use about the same number of possessions when they’re on the floor. Both are poor (but not bad) defenders. But Landry is a better rebounder (particularly on the offensive end), scores much more efficiently, doesn’t turn the ball over as much, and makes about the same number of foul shots per game as Thomas. Thomas is probably the better passer, and he gets more steals and blocks than Landry, but that’s it.
It was just an awful trade proposal. The Rockets give up one of their most valuable bench players and the best perimeter defender in the NBA for a bunch of bullshit. Great.

silly story
That is a stupid story. It seems to claim that because the Rockets are not involved in a trade to give away Battier and Landry for some guy we never heard of from Chicago, then that proves the Rockets have no interest in Boozer. The Rockets, like almost every NBA team, would like to get Boozer. They just dont want to give up the farm to do it.
