Trade for Turiaf?
GSW fan here. Would the Houston fans like a true center this year? How about Turiaf and Maggette for Battier, Landrey and Hayes?
Turiaf has the beef to stand with almost any NBA center (OK, not Yao or Howard), he blocks well and has a nice mid-range jumper. Maggette is unstoppable going to the hole. Shoots free throws all day long. Golden State loves Turiaf but he is behind Biedrins in the rotation and is (somewhat) expendable. Maggette doesn't fit as well in a Nelson-type run and gun offense as he does in a half court offense. He is very strong. Both players are very likeable.
Golden State could use better perimeter defense. I think Battier could give that to us. Randolph is penciled in to start at PF but he is a thin 20 year-old who would benefit from some veteran back-up.
No cursing in title. No pirated material, such as links to online game streams. Thanks.

turiaf is a high energy player for limited minutes.
i don’t know how he would do with an extended role. interesting proposal, though
13 points in 39 seconds. Enough said.

When Biedrins was injured last year, Turiaf showed he could give an extended effort of passionate play. He had many Golden State of Mind bloggers wondering if he should be our starting center. He plays D well, he has no injury problems, and he is a young big that should continue to improve. I’m not sure my friends at GSOM would like giving him up. I thought I’d see what you all thought first.

Corey "bad porn" Maggette? No, thanks.
His contract is awful. I don’t think Morey would trade for him.

‘bad porn’ I guess you read GSOM. He’s not bad and could be worth every penny on the right kind of team. I think the Rockets play his style of ball. You’d be buying his services for four years. Use him for three and if he isn’t part of your championship team, he’d be a nice expiring after three.
Brooks
Ariza
Maggette
Scola
Turiaf
is better than:
Brooks
Ariza
Battier
Scola/Landry
Hayes/Dorsey

Hmmmm....
How about Cook and McGrady for Biedrins and Monta Ellis? Does that sound about fair to you?

It’s easier to be cynical than thoughtful. I thought you might like/need a very good center and an efficient scorer. It looked like your management was willing to part with Battier now that you had Ariza. You clearly value those players a lot. There is nothing wrong with liking your own guys. If we are so far apart, then there isn’t much to discuss.
See ya.

Turiaf simply isn't big enough
We can just use Scola in that role if that’s the plan on height. I appreaciate you trying to come up with something though. Honestly I’m a huge Biedrins fan and would love a trade for him. But the guy I really want is Anthony Randolph

With Yao, you are all spoiled in the height department.
Hope he gets well soon. Now I am truly out of here. Thanks.
