What Houston needs to do

1. Weather the tough year coming up ahead of them sans Yao.

2. Limit Yao's play in China and Yao's play over a year.

3. Due to the opportunities, develop Aaron Brooks, Carl Landry and now Trevor Ariza.

4. Keep Tracy McGrady allowing him to become a free agent (then allowing him to leave) allowing them to have cap space for 2010 for the big players. Tracy may be more skilled than most... but his body is too old.

5. Rid Cook, Barry, Dorsey.

6. Sign a cheap but valuable veteran big.

No cursing in title. No pirated material, such as links to online game streams. Thanks.

i’d keep barry for the veteran leadership aspect for kids like brooks and lowry. he’s a guard that’s been there and done that with the spurs.

he’s helped psyche up tony parker. look at him now. i’m not saying barry’s the sole reason, but he’s alright in my book.

otherwise i agree with everything else. with carl landry, i think dorsey might be a bit redundant

Common sense

Most of the stuff you just said was common sense or complete crap. They can’t force Yao to stop playing for China. Yao wanted to play for China. And China made him/will make him play ridiculous amounts of basketball no matter how insignificant.

Why a sign a vetern big?

Dorsey is a beast. The Rockets can use this season to develop him.

The beast

The only place Dorsey is a beast is at the free throw line. Hayes and Dorsey—lots of laughs beyond a foot from the basket.

like the team now

Really only 2 players id trade now is Cook and T-Mac…wud only wanna trade those 2 and wud want a decent C and good shooter in return…Bogut and Redd, or barbosa and amare, u know what i mean…obviously not that good of a return but sumtinto that extent

id HATE to trade away our youth but if we HAD to i could see tradeing mac, brooks, landry for bosh,o’bryant, banks of the raptors. banks will be our brooks, bosh adds the scoring and more than replaces landry and obryant would be a back up for yao cause ther are maybe a handful of good centers in the league the rest are all mediocre and pretty much equal.

..aint no place & no teams like HOUSTON's!!

Rockets Need A Center

DumpT-Mac & get a Center!!!
if weget the right big man we could contend for the Western Conference title in 2009-10.

Morey loves efficiency

and there are few players moree efficient offensively as Kevin Martin, currently on the Kings. As a Kings fan, I want to know what Rockets fans would be willing to give up to grab Kevin Martin.

Call it a social experiment.
