Houston 09-10

.Rockets 09-10

Star-divide

Since the Rockets are in rebuilding mode, and they've already accepted it. Let's stop trying to think big and try to be a contender this upcoming season. With Yao out and Mcgrady out half the season, there is no way that we can even contend. Not even with Morey. Think of the big picture. Yao gets the rest he deserves this season. After seeing the Rockets lose some games, Mcgrady could be even better or have no motivation. This upcoming season is going to be very beneficial for the long run. We get to see if Ariza is worth the money we spent on him. See if our draft picks can translate their game to the NBA.

Don't tell me I'm not a Rockets fan, I'm just realistic. I haven't given up all hope on this season. This is the NBA, where amazing happens. Maybe we can win 15-20 games until Mcgrady comes back. Ariza has full confidence and we in him so he brings even more than what he brought to the Lakers. Our draft picks are even better than what Morey imagined. We resign Von Wafer and James White develops quickly to solve our need for shooting guard. We move Brian Cook(and his big ass contract) and maybe Joey Dorsey for an adequete center. Then MAYBE  we will crack the 8th spot in the playoffs. But seeing how all of these happening are slim. This season is going to be a rebuilding center.

This season to be considered an accomplishment. We'd have to get Yao Ming healthy for the 10-11 season at 100%. We need to get Tracy either motivated or move him. Sign or trade for a new center, I'm hoping for Zaza Pachulia. Maybe trade Tracy and Brian Cook for Zaza, Josh Smith, and maybe a draft pick or an expiring contract. I haven't checked the contracts so I'm not sure. But this will help us a lot with inside scoring and hustle. As long doesn't cause trouble I think this is a + for both teams.

What do you guys think? Don't need any hater comments. Contructive criticism and your thoughts are welcome.

No cursing in title. No pirated material, such as links to online game streams. Thanks.

Im ashamed to call u a fellow fan

We dont need your negative input on a Rockets team that is going through a tough time. Go find some other board to troll

hm

so would you call me a fellow fan if i believe that they’re going to win it all next year? that’s not going to happen. am i a rockets fan? yes. am i realistic? yes. do the rockets have a chance to win it all? yes, but the chance of that happening is miniscule.
the rockets are in rebuilding mode. do you disagree with that statement? if so, then you should quit watching basketball because you know nothing. the rockets just can’t win a championship without yao. so since i’m a fan of the rockets, obviously not because of their highlights or even that it’s fun to watch them, i’m going to do what i’ve done since day 1. support them. i accept that it’s going to be hard for them to even crack .500 this season.

cracking a .500 shouldn’t be too hard though, even without our best players. Check Golden State. We still have efficient players on the defensive end and players with heart that will bring it every night. Scola is incredibly underrated. Lamar Odom can tell you that.

i dont think this season is gonna be as bad as we think IF Morey pulls off that big trade for Macs contract and players to be determined. we havent had Mac for really all last season cause of the injury and Yao well we should be use to it. Im a big fan of both but Im a Rockets fan 1st & like ive been reading the McGrady/Yao era is over. we tried it but it didnt work so we should start with a few new players(preferably 2 & 5), i know chemistry counts for alot and ours is tops but we can bring in some other needed players to get acquainted with coachs’ system. what better time to start than now….

..aint no place & no teams like HOUSTON's!!

well i’m glad you didn’t have a flaming comment. i don’t think the rockets’ season is going to be good, but i’m sure we won’t be neck and neck with the clippers or grizzlies either.
if we somehow pull off a big trade with mcgrady. we sure won’t get a game changing superstar like kobe, lebron, etc. and without that significant game changer i don’t think we can have close to a successful season as the past few years.
or hey i might be wrong and this might motivate all the role players to play like starters and for the starters to play even harder than before and we have a great season. and that will just be great.

if only motivating players were that simple.

im glad that every houston fan isn’t a homer. i didn’t know of too many koreans that perceptive either

I see a Dantoni Phoenix Suns-esque style of play but with players who still think of defense in our near future!! or at least thats what i want to see :[

Clean House

Let’s face it this team will never reach NBA conterdership.
Yao and Tracy will never stay healthy throughout a full season.
Ariza is nothing more than a top tier role player and shane is nothing more than a younger version of bruce bowen.

There is NO STAR that can carry your rockets team, NONE!!
Yes T-mac and Yao are but can you really say they can lead this team to a championship?? NO!!

The answer is to clean house and start with more reliable balanced player.

wow

Lawrence your just a hater dog.
Right now the Rockets are a team of proven role players that haven’t really had the chance to become a bigger part of the offense. Aaron Brooks was given that chance and stepped up. Our draft picks have a lot of potential on offense with defense questionable. But with Shane Battier on that team mentoring them, defense should come with time.
The Rockets will definitely play with an up tempo pace that they couldn’t play with Yao. While getting a true center is looking slim as time is progressing, the starting lineup will look something like this.
Pg- Aaron Brooks Sg- Von Wafer? Trevor Ariza Sf-Shane Battier Pf-Carl Landry C-Luis Scola
This lineup is small, fast and athletic. And since this season, there’s nothing to prove, we can look at the young players and see how they develop. With a team that has nothing to prove, they are very dangerous. Just like we took the Lakers to 7 games. Just like the Rockets got a 22 game win streak, half without Yao. I still think they’ll have a hard time getting .500 in an even more competitive WC. For that matter the East is getting stacked too.
