Trevo Ariza can blossom to be one of the Pillars of Houston..provided...?
Trevor Ariza , can be a potential superstar provided he will continue to improve and enhance his game. We saw glimpses of what he can be.. he's got great anticipation in defense,, has decent offense, good three point range. More importantly, he is only 23 yrs. of age. He has a lot of time or room to blossom and be like T-Mac of the future,( minus the injury and the bad attitude). Houston is the best place for you to achieved stardom . Dont listen to the fat ass.. You have no future there .You will be just another role player there and be that forever. Stick to Houston and we will embrace and support you all the way. Welcome T-RIZ!!

Who are you lying to?
Us or yourself? This season is gonna be shit and no overrated overpaid unshaved Laker diva is gonna dig us out of this shithole that Morey dug.
How did Morey dig us into anything?
In fact, I think the reason why this is, at worst, a one year shit hole before true rebuilding can begin (and even then, I think hes already been setting up pieces for a quick ressurection) is a testament to the salary flexibility that Morey employed. He inherited some cumbersome contracts, cut his losses and capitalized on his gains.
I think he did a great job to give himself an out if $40 million of cap space went down with chronic injury. I don’t think that was an accident.
I don't at all understand your logic here.
I get that there is a high possibility that the Rockets will not have a great season. But they are the Rockets, they seem to thrive on these low expectations and prove everyone wrong. Anyways Morey has been fronted with a very tough situation. He did not dig himself into anything. Like flipasta said, Morey is giving himself an out to possibly make trades during next years all star free agency. I would say that Morey and the Rockets are definitely willing to take a hard fought season with the players we have and obtain the players we need next year than jeopardize our chances and acquire someone no where near the talent that will be available next year. Like everyone says “In Morey we trust.” And honestly with all the moves we’ve made I have to agree.
c'mon now, lets not go overboard
Ariza can be a very good player but he is not gonna be a superstar and tha T-Mac comparison is way over tha top. at tha age of 23, Ariza averaged 9pts, 4rebs, and 2ast last season. T-Mac averaged 32pts, 6.5rebs, and 5.5ast at tha age of 23. name an offensive skill and T-Mac is light-years ahead of Ariza. if you’re thinking he’s goin to become anything close to T-Mac you’re going to be sorely disapointed. sure he can develop some things but none of the natural talent is there. this guy has been in tha league 5 years now and he’s just learning how to 3pters. he’s already a good defender and has tha potential to a great one but offensively he is very limited.
I'M DISRESPECTFUL TO DIRT!! CAN YOU SEE THAT I AM SERIOUS?
GET OUT OF MY WAY, ALL OF YOU. THIS IS NO PLACE FOR LOAFERS. JOIN ME OR DIE. CAN YOU DO ANY LESS?
Another good role player
Ariza adds to a growing list of good role players on this team: Scola, Battier, Landry, Brooks, Lowry, Hayes and so on. Its looking like we don’t have a big “Home-run” hitter on this team (as Yao and T-Mac are hurt) but we’ve got some solid pieces. Ariza may never be a dominant 20ppg guy, but if he gives me 12-15ppg and his all-out hustle, I’d be happy. Besides, Scola’s been “The Man” before in Europe, and Brooks and Landry showed some flashes of that as well.
PS: Battier won’t average 8ppg this year.
B^2
In Daryl Morey, Rick Smith and Ed Wade we (usually) trust.
yeah ur right!!
he’ll average at least 12 or more who knows?
Average Player
Who doesnt play well on a championship caliber team; of course youre always going to give it 100%, because the spotlight is just as much on you as it would be the star of the team. Great guy; but bad decision by Morey once again. But hey i’m used to it now as a die hard rockets fan; whom still hasnt recovered from the terrible decision to pass over Rashard three times back in ‘98 after working him out and virtually assuring him he would be the hometown selection. Lets face it we’ve made some bad decisions in our recruiting efforts, and things probably wont change until Leslie decides to sell the team, to a guy who has guts like Mark Cuban, and isnt afraid to make the move.
