Next year is a Team Option. They’ll exercise that (duh). He has a qualifying offer in 2010/2011.

Durant doesn't strike me as a guy that cares about that stuff

He’s pretty much a homebody and he still has access to Austin pretty quickly from there. He’s not the type of guy to force a trade unless it’s awful, and that team has a big future

The guys they drafted and James White do EXACTLY what Von did for us last year. They clearly are moving on without him, which is fine with me. I mean he was great last year, but i just didn’t see a lot of room for offensive improvement. James White or Taylor or Budinger combined can easily bring what Von brought if not more.

Uh, no....

The guys they drafted and White have a CHANCE to do what Von did, but if they were even LIKELY to do what Von did, they would not have still be sitting by their phones by the time the second round rolled around. Wafer certainly is replaceable, but he is by no means a dime a dozen.

I’m not sure if he’s going to be a Rocket or not, but I do think that he is unique amongst the other guys that we’ve brought in. He can drive and dunk, but he can also shoot it from deep. James white can drive, but he can’t shoot. Budinger can shoot, but he can’t drive. I don’t know what Taylor can do (hopefully both), but whether or not we keep Von, he’s not easily replaceable with the guys that we have.

That said, I did like the draft day moves and we’ll see what happens.
