Before everyone overreacts,
remember that all Morey is saying is that the doctors haven’t ruled it out.
Nevertheless, it’s very good news that doctors think his prognosis is pretty good.

if yao comes back
then rockets are back to title contending status!
possibly lottery team to champions!
sorry with this kinda news its hard not to overreact
I think he won't be back this season. If he is, fantastic.
But, hot damn, he’s healing. They aren’t worried about his career ending. This is wonderful to hear.
We will also see, possibly for the first time ever, a totally healthy, rested, Yao Ming, in 2010. And we’re going to have a boodle of cash to spend in the Great Free Agent Extravaganza of 2010™.
Im not looking past this season (how can I – I just bought season tickets) – I think our depth will take us to the playoffs, despite the missing stars. I also think TMac isn’t going to be missing for long. He’s healing, too, and knows full well that his future paydays depend almost entirely on what he does this year. If he doesn’t want to end up like AI, he’d better produce.
"So do you keep open 3pt FG percentage?"
"Yeah, we'd have everything you'd want, Bill."
"I hate you."

BDL has a better headline:
Everything’s coming up Milhouse for the Rockets

Please Yao stay off the court this season.
I beg you. Too many western conference teams have gotten better. Stay on the bench and heal up big man,
So, say he does make it back
(even know I would prefer him too rest) what happens to the extra MLE that the NBA grants us, do we lose it if he plays 1 game or a certain amount of games (i.e like the Miles/Portland ) or do we keep it no matter what?
Anyway good to see the big guy is healing!!!!!
"It's who we are," Battier said. "I don't think we're going to get the love of the six foot blonde bombshell. That's what the Lakers are here for. It's alright, I like our demographic."
