Von Wafer Heading to Greece
Von is expected to sign with Olympiakos, apparently for two years and $5 million per. That's pretty much the equivalent of the NBA's MLE, so it's unlikely that anyone was going to pay him that here.
Von was obviously a big part of the Rockets' season, but I think he's ultimately pretty replaceable. And, oddly enough, the Rockets have something of a glut at the wings, since the Ariza signing, McGrady's return, and the addition of Budinger and Taylor, so Von was either going to be taking minutes from better players (Ariza, McGrady) or players under team control for a few more years (everyone else).
But I think all of us fans liked the guy, even if he did throw a hissy fit when Adelman wouldn't play him against the Lakers (who figured out that if they just packed the paint against him, he was going to throw up a bad shot).
What's kind of strange about this is that Battier is going to be the only wing player on the 2010 Rockets who had significant playing time in 2009. Haven't had that kind of turnover since... well, I guess a few years ago, actually.
No cursing in title. No pirated material, such as links to online game streams. Thanks.

At the end of the day
we did have the money to sign him, but I think the poll question is more like for what reason was he not worth that kind of money?
At least that’s how I saw it.
How many Biletnikoffs does he have? NOT TWO!

Don't you have the ability to make this a front page post?
If not I need to work on that for you

How about add another option to the polls
How about this: “Clashed with the coach in a crucial time during the Lakers/Rockets game where Ron Artest’s throat hit Kobe Bryant’s elbow”
B^2
In Daryl Morey, Rick Smith and Ed Wade we (usually) trust.

That's number 5
“He’s a douchebag.”
Poster for next year? I'm thinking My Little Pony.

heh, added
I don’t really think that factored much into their decision. It was one incident, and it was really the only one we ever heard about.

But his haircut...
That alone should have created incidents in the locker room on a nightly basis. (And just so you know I’m not being a homer, it looked equally stupid on Oden.)

Yes, but that was a marketing gimmick for the team
So they let it go

I still say
He should have sported the blazer with the mohawk, as should Ron Artest have. Those two+Aaron Brooks=ultimate hilarity.

He’s going to Greece to popularize the Von Hawk.

Hopefully
Jermaine Taylor can fill his spot. We are going to need somebody to put up points off the bench
