Greatest moments in rockets history?
Fellow Dreamshakers! Rockets.com needs your help!
It’s time to mobilize the Rockets’ fan base and come up with a definitive list of the greatest moments in franchise history. And since my bosses won’t allow me unbridled authority over the final tally – and trust me, I did everything short of volunteering for another VonHawk to attain it - Rockets.com is recruiting you to help out once again.
As Jason Freidman begrudgingly accepts his impotence, why not take some time out from your daily hustle and bustle and take a stroll down memory lane?
13 points in 35 seconds? The Kiss of Death? Ralph Samson's miracle shot? This excruciatingly long moment? That awkward chest bump picture at the top of the post? Send in your nominations via Facebook, Twitter, Wiki, or an electronic mailing and let your voices be heard. Personally, I prefer carrier pigeon.
Now let me guess, it's Rafer Alston getting traded isn't it?
No cursing in title. No pirated material, such as links to online game streams. Do not cut/paste entire sections of content from other websites. Thanks.

The Dream blocking John Starks. Or the Rafer trade.

Gotta be
The Rafer trade followed by the release of Luther Head. Best week of my life.
How many Biletnikoffs does he have? NOT TWO!
I'm not going to pretend that I remember it happening
(since I was born several years after the game was played), but how about the sub-.500 1981 Murphy/Malone Rockets knocking off the Magic/Kareem Lakers and going all the way to the finals? That’s pretty awesome.
We tend to forget that the Rockets did some things before the ’84 Draft.
Your friendly neighborhood Dream Shake mod.
22 game winning streak?
prolly my vote

top 5?
1. Drafting Hakeem
2. Maxwell’s 3 in Game 7 in 1994
3. Hakeem owning Robinson in 1995
4. Kiss of Death
5. Horry’s last-second shot to beat the Fat Ass in the Fat Ass’ first ever trip to Houston in 1993 (also Horry’s first ever game-winner… and I was at the game)
I was born in '88
so I have trouble remember the 2 titles. 13 in 35 and the 22 game winning streak are 1A and 1B for me. doesnt mean those are the best moments in Rockets history, but they’re the best ones I have memories of.
I'M DISRESPECTFUL TO DIRT!! CAN YOU SEE THAT I AM SERIOUS?
GET OUT OF MY WAY, ALL OF YOU. THIS IS NO PLACE FOR LOAFERS. JOIN ME OR DIE. CAN YOU DO ANY LESS?
i was born 92
so dont remember much until like 01…
but yea…T-mac is actually number 1 on my list (13-35 seconds), and also 22 game winning streak…

Kenny smiths
record 3pts made in the finals and Horrys 7 steals in 1 games would have to round out the top 10.
1.Olajuwon owning Robinson
2.Maxwell’s 3 in Game 7
3.Sampsons shot over Lakers
4. 22 game winning streak
5.Olajuwon getting drafted over Jordan and Barkley
6.Olajuwons game winning tip on Magic GM1 finals
7.Kiss of death
8.Tmac 13 pts in35
9.Kenny gets hot from deep vs Magic
10.Horry’s 7 steals finals record
probably missed a few other rippers but this is my favs
"It's who we are," Battier said. "I don't think we're going to get the love of the six foot blonde bombshell. That's what the Lakers are here for. It's alright, I like our demographic."
nice list
though Kenny Smith is banned from my list for missing a 20 foot jumper against Seattle in 1993 (Game 7)… wide the fuck open and he clangs it. Instead we go to OT and get destroyed. FU Kenny.
tmac dunks over shawn bradley, scola, mutombo
1. tmac dunks over shawn bradley
2. scola being stolen from a division rival
3. forever young dike mutombo (until last playoff…)
