Catching up with Hakeem Olajuwon
Emirates Business 24-7 caught up with The Dream recently to discuss his Islamic faith and how he goes about living in Jordan with his family. Interestingly enough, Olajuwon answered a question or two about how fasting during Ramadan affected his playing career.
"At the beginning of my career, when my team-mates heard I was fasting during the season they thought it would affect my game and were concerned," explains the 12-time All-Star. "But when they saw that it actually made me better there was a lot of admiration and intrigue: 'How can you play at this level without drinking water, when you must need water and must be thirsty' they would ask."
According to the article, Olajuwon's statistics actually improved during Ramadan. You learn something new every day.

Hakeem Olajuwon:
basketball legend, man of faith, professional asskicker, and not a freaking sellout like Jordan.
Your friendly neighborhood Dream Shake mod.
That is why he is the DREAM
No one will ever compare. And I wish he would have schooled SHAQ in that 1-on-1 thing they were supposed to have.

Its just sad
that he wasnt given enough recognition being one of the greatest Center in the league. Im hearing more of Ewing compared to hakeem but Ewing could not even carry his team to Glory.
But Still nobody compares to THE DREAM.
Well, hakeem has nothing to prove. 2 rings is plenty
13 points in 39 seconds. Enough said.
